Driving down from myrtle beach to Charleston we found this restaurant and stop for lunch. This place does not look fantasy but the food was amazing, my husband and son had the hamburger and they both could not believe the flavors that came from the meat. I had the sea scallops which was delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and gave good service. It is a shame I live in Philadelphia because I would love to visit this place on a regular basis.

I really wanted to like this place. After seeing the other reviews, I was hoping it'd be worth the drive. I went on a Thursday around 6:30. There was a small wait while they waited for tables to clear, but they set us up with chips and drinks while we waited. After about fifteen minutes, we were seated. Started with the fried tomatoes. Good and fresh, little bland to me and I was not thrilled with the mayo-based sauce. Dinner was fried shrimp and grilled scallops. It too was fresh but nothing special. I prefer my shrimp deveined but that is just my preference. Sweet potato fries a little limp and bland. Tartar sauce (homemade) too dry for my taste. Service was so-so. I don't ask for too much but had to request a refill for all our drinks. I decided to try to coconut pie after reading the other reviews. Also drier than what I was expecting but still tasty.
I may give them another shot with their burgers but I wouldn't make a special trip although given the location, you kinda have to. I did see the chef (owner?) out talking to guests and that's always good.

Don't underestimate this little hidden gem.  When I say gem, I am talking about the entire town.  Small, quaint but not too far a drove from either Charleston to the south or Myrtle Beach to the north.  There are things to do here.. a visit to the local museum, events and concerts come up from time to time.  The river front area is serene and quiet enough to do some reflecting and soul searching, but when you get hungry... there are few offerings unless you packed a picnick.

After my wife spotted a story in a Southern Living magazine we wandered into this place one Friday evening.  Place was filling up quickly with locals.

I opted for a bowl of the house special crab (blue)+ shrimp (local) +corn chowder.  It was thick and tasty.  My wife opted for the Pimento Cheese 1/2 lb Angus Burger.. that was a meal for two.

We finished off our meal with a thick slice of the homemade Coconut Cream Pie.  According to our waitress ALL the pies are home made here.  That gives us good reason to return to test all the others.

Saleeby Score has to give Service:  8/10,  Food a 6.5/10 and Desserts:  8/10.

Note:  Their taste in music was awesome, some old REM, Pearl Jam and 90's pop music was playing subtly in the background.  They also have a play area for kids... so it is very kid/family friendly.

Amazing little place.  Great vibe.  Sandwiches were good, if ot very good.  Beer was very cheap.  Desserts were out-of-this-world.

For the best local, FRESH seafood experience, this is the place. Located off the beaten path in the historical McClellanville community by Cape Romain, TW Graham's offers delicious seafood in a rustic setting. Excellent service combined with fresh and well prepared items make it a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended: seafood chowder, scallops and shrimp. Be sure and visit the shrimp boat harbor and seafood store nearby.

    Best local restaurant.

    I recommend to everyone.

Fresh local seafood right off the boats.

    Quaint setting and authentic ambiance.

Good for large groups if you come at a time when the temperature allows for sitting on outdoor screened porch.

Save room for the Pawley's Island Pie, think pecan pie, but replace the pecans with chocolate.

Its reputation exceeds the food.  The fried shrimp were very good but not great.  Over-all quality was acceptable but nothing to rave about.  Service was very good, friendly, attentive.

Good home southern food. Almost everything is fried and the homemade pies are great.

If you are looking for a truly great food experience, then you must make it to this restaurant!!!  It is a short trip north of charleston and about an hour and a half south of myrtle beach, but once you get there you will see it was worth any effort.

I have been to quite a few high end restaurants, but the most important factors are:
    1. the taste of the food
    2. the service

    the food.
we had the scallops and bacon, fried green tomatoes, and crawfish tales as appetizers. all were great, especially the tomatoes.  they tasted freshly battered and were perfectly sized, and seasoned.

the shrimp and grits were amazing, no sausage in the gravy, which sort of worried me, but it tasted much better without it. i really think the sausage takes away from the shrimp. and the shrimp was amazing. oh, the shrimp boats are walking distance away, so you know they are fresh and taste amazing!

the fresh tuna salad was also great. light and refreshing and fresh.

now for the dessert......just get a slice of what ever pie they have! the key lime was the best any of us have had! and the same goes for the coconut pie! (Gilligan would kill the skipper for a slice!)
we just didn't have room for the chocolate pie. next time for sure!

    service
the service was great, very helpful and fast, but not overwhelming. the only thing i hate more than cold hard butter is overbearing service that stops me from enjoying the people that i am with. when you are in a laid back place like this, in the south, you don't want to be rushed or hurried, and i never felt that. we all had a great time and the flow of the meal was right in step with our conversation.

    now for my soapbox moment:
i hate the gentrification of America and i always try and support small local businesses, but sometimes, the small guy falls short, this restaurant doesn't  and exceeded my every expectation!
this place is owned and operated by people who live in the community and have been there for a long time.

p.s. this place was on bourdains no reservation, but was only on the European/Canadian telecasts. i have no idea why, but they tell me that they get people who pop in from all around the world.
