  First time Taco Mayo trip. Had been on the road about 7 hours and it was the only food in sight. Had crunchy tacos. Over cooked no flavor. I don't think I would try it again...

  So, it's late, you are in an unknown location, and you are hungry. You don't want McDonald's, you don't want Sonic, and you don't want Braum's. Your other options include a Subway in a filthy vile truckstop or other snacks from the truckstop. Or this.
  
  So you go in here and see what it is like. The inside was small, not very clean, and very colorful, like a kindergarten classroom or something.
  
  Menu looked like a Del Taco menu a little more than a Taco Bell menu. Prices were reasonable and there were a lot of options.
  
  I was able to order a chicken soft taco with lettuce, green salsa, pico de gallo, and the tortilla (a flour one... they did not offer corn) so I was very happy. I didn't have much hope for the food but was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of everything when I received my order. The chicken, sauce, and overall flavor of the tacos was really good. The chicken taco cost $ 1.99 but was large and had lots of chicken on it. I considered it to be a good value.
  
  There was a salsa bar that was a complete mess. Not real clean looking, signs did not clearly label which salsa was which, and no Pico de Gallo. Signs were up about Pico de Gallo not being on the salsa bar due to a tomato shortage or some such thing. Sounds like a cheap excuse to me.  
  
  Prices were more than reasonable. Large portions and many $ 0.99 items.
  
  So, Taco Mayo is okay in my book. I'd give them another try.
  
  I did like that they put your items into an open top box then put that into a bag. Good way to avoid items getting squished.
