  Most of the time the food is good, but most of the time the service is lousy. Went there tonight for my birthday with a group of friends. It took 15 mins for us to get our drinks. We ordered the chips, they were excellent as always. We ordered our meals and it took them, no joke, over a hour to bring it out. My sandwich  was ok, but the fries were awful! They were not fully cooked and were soggy from grease. The only flavor you can taste on them were oil. To make things worse, There was a large group across from us being extremely loud. Many of them yelling "N" word this and that. The staff thought it was funny as hell. Many of the patron were mortified at this groups behavior. The staff was laughing and encouraging their behavoir. I think this is my last visit to this restaurant.

  This location has killed many worthy restaurants, but I think Tahona is the best in this location. I was skeptical of the marriage between Mexican and Italian food. With restaurants I've kind of always believed that you should do one thing but do it well.
  
  I had the Tahona Fajitas and was incredibly impressed. Five types of meat (shrimp, chicken, steak, carnitas, and chorizo) is unheard of and the serving was huge. I went in with my fiancee and his mother. My fiancee and I split the fajitas and couldn't eat the whole thing. The three of us could've split it and none of us walked away hungry. While they were a little more expensive that fajitas at other Mexican restaurants, I felt the quality and quantity more than made up for it.
  
  I tried a mango margarita and was impressed. Our server was knowledgeable about the drink offerings and ready to make recommendations. Our server was also able to describe many of the dishes we asked about, this is a huge improvement over a number of the local Mexican places I've had experience with.
  
  Basically, if I'm craving Mexican food in Huntington, this is now where I'm coming.

  I agree with other posters here... food is good but service is awful (depending on your server, of course, but management should intervene when a waiter messes everything up).  
  
  Tahona Grille has in the past deleted such honest comments, so I'll be interested to see if Yelp lets them keep these up here.

  The food was good. The service was iffy.
  
  Let me start by saying that I'm not cheap when it comes to food, but I would like to know what my food is going to cost (especially when I suspect it is a lot). Our server didn't know answers to any of our questions about the food. One person in our group  had been there before and the menu had changed but she was trying to find the dish she'd ordered before. The server didn't know what dish she was talking about, or how much any of the specialty items were. Or how much side salads were (they weren't listed). There were no prices on any of the drinks and she didn't know.
  
  I had wine and it was good ($10), bourbon glazed salmon with 3 pieces of asparagus- no salad included ($20), tiramisu (delicious!!- $7.50).
  I only remember the prices because the food was good but not worth the price. Also, as we were leaving a group of drunk women came in and started screaming about taking naked photos of each other. The management did nothing. We left, and I don't intend to come back.
