  WOW! What a find in Apalachiola! Excellent craft beer selection, knowledgeable wait staff, and great environment. If you are a beer nerd and need to escape for a bit, go to the Tap Room. Would be better if it were open earlier in the day (opens at 4:00 or 4:30), but the happy hour is great. Can't beat three bucks per pour, especially on higher gravity beers.

  Happy hour 3$ pints for microbrews, friendly staff, delicious food. One of the best italian subs I've ever had. I tried everyone else's food and it was equally amazing. Not too expensive either, given the quality.

  Pulled into town after dark thirty. Decided to take a stroll and look for a place to eat. Stumbled in and skipped out. Staff was so accommodating and hospitable - surpassed only by fried shrimp and baked Brie appetizer!  Give it a go- you won't be disappointed!

  The Owl Cafe opened a new extension to their finer dinning.  Its just 2 doors down on the left from their corner entrance.  I think its much better with great bang for your buck.  
  
  The Tap Room has about 20 micro beers on tap that change on a daily/weekly basis.  For people in your group who need their spirits they have full bar as well.  
  
  The food is good and very affordable.  Check the door for the Happy Hour specials.  While we were in town they had $3 pints on micro beers and that is a deal.  Oysters are great and if you get tired of seafood the burger is good.  
  
  This is a bar/restaurant but kids are welcome at the tables but not the bar.  In fact every time we were in Apalach my 9 yr old would beg to stop and get a burger.  
  
  The staff is great with the old south charm and the bartender is more than happy to give you a sample of beer if you can't make up your mind.  
  
  Good food can be hard to find on the Forgotten Coast so I give them 5 stars.  This has become a favorite stop for me so give them a try I think you will be happy.  
  
  Also, they are only open Mon - Fri 4pm to 11pm, Saturday 12pm to 12am, and Closed on Sunday.
