Tejas 2150 is an Enigma, it's a place that you've never heard of but a friend of a friend has eaten there and really enjoyed the meal. You don't know where it is, you're not sure it exists, but you want a huge juicy steak and so you decide to try and find it.
That's the story of how I ended up eating at Tejas 2150. I had been hearing story after story about this place and finally tracked it down. Not sure where it is? let me help you... it's not close to anything. See that turn just past the third tumbleweed, you haven't gone far enough but it's close to Tejas 2150.
The restaurant is literally a small metal building tacked onto the side of (what i believe is a) house. There are maybe ten tables, no reservations, basically no waiting area, and BYOB. I would suggest getting here early to ensure you get a table otherwise you stand between two tables and watch people eat.
Tejas 2150 is only open two days a week but they produce more great food in those two days then others produce in a month. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a steak house (literally) across from a cotton field, the service is quick, and the portions are HUGE. My steak hung off three sides of the plate and feed me for two days.
I'm pretty confident that I'm going to make this my Friday lunch spot, maybe camp out in the parking lot and then catch another steak on Saturdays.
