Tequila Sunset

Came here to pregame a little bit before heading into Louies, it was really nice, bar was affordable. Food smelled great, drinks where strong. I'd go back!

Low-key bar with good service on the island.

I recently spent a Friday and Saturday night at Tequila Sunset. I visited the bar the weekend before "busy season" begins and was pleasantly surprised at the low-key vibe of the bar. There was a band, "The Remedy," playing that played all kinds of music - pop, R&B, funk, salsa, etc. I found the bartenders to be friendly and they remembered my name after a drink or two so I did not have to keep yelling my last name at them.

In addition, it seems like a good place to host an event. On Saturday night we were there for my fiance's high school reunion. Tequila Sunset does not have a kitchen so catering was brought in and we had open bar for an hour. Management was about 15 minutes late getting everything started but nobody really minded because we were going to be there all night anyway.

I really enjoyed hanging out at this bar and will definitely go back during my next trip to South Padre Island.

Huge deck loved their Mardi Gras Tuesday, brought my beads, distributed my beads, smiled from ear to ear. Good times there and it has a huge deck and views of Laguna Madre. Sorry but afew hours later I found myself in Louie's Backyard.
