TGI Friday's

I live over 30 mins away and have been to this location twice in the last 6 months. The first time, my party of two waited for 15 mins for someone to greet us after we were sat. The place was NOT busy but the service was at the most, "fair".  The second time, we waited for about 5 mins to be greeted. Again, they weren't too busy. The server seemed rushed and wasn't very friendly. We got our drinks after a few mins of waiting, asked for just a couple mins to look at the menu and didn't see her for another 10 mins. When she came back she slammed her server book on the table, scribbled our orders down and walked away. Our drinks say empty for over 15 mins, she never came back to check on us. We waited 45 mins for our steaks which were supposed to be cooked medium and came out overcooked. When the food was brought to us, we told the gentleman that our appetizer never came, he walked away and brought back our appetizer in just a couple mins (i am assuming it was sitting back in the kitchen) but he never apologized for the inconvenience. The server stopped by to check on us once the entire meal. When she brought the check and our box, she walked right by without stopping and literally threw the box onto the table with a bag and didn't come back to remove plates or anything. We had wanted dessert but instead went up the road to another restaurant. Let's just say that I would rather travel an hour to another TGI Fridays before I ever go back there! I see now why they have 1 star.

I have been in a Fridays many times all along the east coast but this visit was unique. Everything about this dinner was bad. It was a complete failure. The steak I ordered was so tough it was impossible to chew. They did get me another one but the wait for a new one allows the rest of your food to get cold. They have a lime cole-slaw which has a taste and smell of something spoiled. The vegetables were over cooked. The fried shrimp looked and tasted like they were prepared hour ago and tasteless and soggy. The salt and pepper shaker was empty. When we got the bill it was wrong (of course higher than it was supposed to be). I would like to think it was just an off night where everything goes wrong but I ate at Outback shortly after and I doubt this Fridays will ever see us again.
