  Never eaten here - but we've had drinks here (always bottled beer).  Decent crowd of people and always a friendly dog or two.

  Ah, got my places mixed up.  I first put this review in for Dockside.
  
  What a quirky, divey place.  The upstairs is about as low key as you can get.  Be careful walking up and down the stairs, especially after a few drinks.  It might be your last tumble.  Really bare bones.  A small bar, ping pong table, and a stage.  I can't remember if I have eaten here or not?  If I have it was probably not that memorable.  I usually come here after having dinner somewhere else.  A good place for happy hour or after dinner drinks.

  As a dive bar it is mediocre. No real atmosphere even of the "divey" variety. As far as food goes- you are better off eating at a gas station. Total uninspired bar food that no doubt all gets delivered frozen from a food service. If you like good food, do not eat here. Location on water is only saving grace.

  An earlier review suggested this is "a notch above bar food." Dead on, but I would give it 3 stars too. It was a fun place to go on the island, and the workers were great. Definitely did not get the vibe that we were pain-in-the-hide tourists. We played ping pong and darts and enjoyed the place. Yea, check it out, just don't go with crazy expectations.

  If you are looking for a drunk, incompitent bar tender/bar owner, this is the place to go!
  
  We visited The Thirsty Fish this weekend while visiting Edisto Island to enjoy live music and some beverages. The service was dissapointing. I stood at the bar and was passed over several times. I waited patiently while the owner, that happened to be bar tender, took shots. This happened several times through out the night. It got worse, at the end of the night I heard yelling  by the bar. It was the bar tender/owner yelling at my friend. He added mysterious drinks to her tab and argued with her when she disputed it. Soon after, he handed our tab to us that had 25 beers, a bloody mary, 7 shots, and the actual 3 beers we ordered. We told him we had only ordered a few beers and he began yelling at us telling us two missing "fat girls" had been ordering on our tab all night. These people were no longer present at the bar. He continued yelling at us complaining about all the left open tabs and told us it was our problem and we needed to pay our tab. Confused and angry we took our tab to diffuse the situation. We are currently disputing the charges with our bank.
  
  I would strongly suggest you, or anyone you know NOT go to this sorry excuse of a bar. It was my birthday and it was ruined by this idiot man. Even the bouncer apologized for the owners behavior.

  One of few spots on the water. Food is one notch above "bar food" for lunch. Place is a dive, which is awesome if you are like me and want to wander in with a bathing suit and flops. Staff doesn't care to be friendly but then again a lot of Edistoians only like the "locals." Didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth; just don't expect any pleasantries.
