This Is It

My friend was in town and we didn't have south by southwest tickets so we went to the rodeo. After the rodeo, which had Sinbad as the standup comic, how the mighty do fall, we decided to go to a small bar on the side of the road. We went inside and ordered beers and then I played a game of pool against a handsome buck who was with 6 work friends who worked on a construction crew a town or so away, somewhere between Austin and San Antonio, the name of the tiny town eludes me now. I won the pool game and the guy shook my hand. Then his friend was up. As I was kicking his ass at pool, he started getting very agitated, presumably because he was being beaten by a girl in front of his coworkers. I won the game and my friend practically pushed me out of the bar, which is really sort of claustrphobic because it has NO windows. I waved goodbye to the lovely bartendress and we hopped in the truck. On the way back to Austin, she said the guy who lost, the second one, had pulled out a pen knife and was threatening to use it while I was hitting the eight ball.

So...Yelpers beware, the pool is for serious players only, as in you might be risking your life for the win....and the bar has a midnight closing time so be sure to allow enough time to get out there. I'd recommend going to Myers BBQ in Elgin before heading over to This Is It.
