I would give this place a 0! We were there for 10 minutes and were completely ignored even though they had 3 people working & only 4 tables with customers. We eventually got up & got our own menus. The last straw was when a white couple walked in & were immediately given menus & asked what they wanted. I guess no one told her that the color of money is GREEN & being in the service industry, that's the only color she should be focused on!!

The food...eh. The drinks...YES. KEY LIME COLODA....that's all you need to know. This place is a fun spot, just remember you are in the keys so everyone is on chill time. Don't expect fast service

Bartender's Bash alone earns the Tiki Bar 5 stars.

You never know exactly what you are gonna get here, depending on the local to tourist ratio, sometimes you get "miami night" other times you get Buffettville. No matter the mix, it still makes for some great people watching. Some nights there is a live band too.

I haven't eaten here in years (this is more of a liquid dessert place for me) so can't talk on that, but I do have a word for the drinks. Strong.

The place is the keys, I mean it has been open since 1972 for a reason.

Disappointing. Ambiance has potential, but the "famous" rum runners were not good, just not the real deal. They used to be the best at this bar.  Now they have an unnatural red color and a funky plastic flavor that tasted watered down.

A sad excuse for a Tiki Bar. This is a dive bar at a marina....that's it. Bad live music. Small, watered down, expensive drinks. No real view of the water to speak of.

Service was quick and friendly. Pain-in-the-Ass drink hit the spot. Yummy and frozen. Nice easy going stop on our way to the Keys!!

What a gorgeous place. My first visit to the Keys, and the marina here was absolutely gorgeous. There are a few places to get drinks, and then a nice place on the beach to eat. It was busy, and the waitresses were doing the best they could.

Surprisingly, our complaint was about the other patrons, not the place itself. Come ON people, you're literally in paradise and you're going to scream at your waitress for not getting sauerkraut or for not having your fries "to go." Seriously people? I was so frustrated.

We had Cuban paninni sandwiches, which were great, and the rum runners, which the Tiki Bar is famous for (also tasty). Overall, we could really care less about anything else. This was such a beautiful location, with good food and drinks to match? Yeah, I think that's pretty much all I wanted for this leg of my trip. So peaceful!

Family had lunch there today. All adults, 9 of us. The Conch fritters where more fritter and less Conch. The Mahi sandwich underwhelming considering we where down in the keys. Calamari was also underwhelming. But the real killer was the service, or shall we say lack of service. We where sitting down for at least, no kidding, a half hour with not even a hello. We ended up having to go up to the bar to order otherwise I really doubt that we would have gotten our order in. The order was incorrectly taken and we had to wait another half hour or so for the order to be complete. I suppose they figure once you are there then you will just suck it up. I do not feel the food or service justified the $229 and time spent. The tiki bar next door was nice, we had a few drinks before we went to eat. Noticed a Shula burger across the way... I would recommend eating elsewhere then maybe going back for the rumrunner bar and the access to the water.....

Although the outdoor seating was a draw, the food was not worth poor service.
My companion and I shared a panini sandwich and a basket of fries for lunch. We were there well over an hour.

If your looking for a laid back, live music playing, sandle wearing place to have a cocktail while watching the sunset this is your little slice of heaven. It's hard to find such a large laid back atmosphere until getting further south.

The actual building is huge, more like a tiki mansion, with a large downstairs to accommodate the band the dock areas and all the guests. The structure is completely made of wood and palm, in true tiki fashion, and their famous drinks, ask for the extra shot, are a must!!

I can't do a trip to the Florida Key's without stopping at this famous and historic spot even if only for a roadie.

This is a great spur of the moment get away.  Pack of the car for a little get away.  The ride is enjoyable in itself.  You feel the stress start to dissipitate as the mile come and go.  The Tiki bar sits on the water with beautiful views.  They have also built a Shula Burger joint on the the premises.  The Rum Runner with an extra shot is the just the right welcome to the Keys.  I enjoy sitting on the bar stools, enjoying the company, the water and the drinks.  The food is okay, but nothing spectacular.  I have also been there for the Forth of July, sitting on the beach at the hotel.  So if you have a lazy afternoon and you want to get away for a couple of hours, I recommend this trip.

Had dinner at the "raw bar" (review to come) and then wandered over to the Tiki Bar after.  This was around 10pm, on a Friday, not during season.  The bar was not overly crowded.  My girlfriend and I waited at the bar for 14 minutes, at which point the bartender had made it around to maybe half the people waiting at the bar.  I realize this is the Keys, but it's not the Bahamas...get your sh*t together, and sling some drinks, and help your establishment make some money.  We left and went elsewhere....I don't support bad bartenders.

If you're lucky enough to get a drink, there is loud music (sounds like Pandora-mix, not a DJ) and entertaining people watching, as it's a varied crowd.  Doubtful that I'll be back, except to use a 2-for-1 drink coupon.

We were tired from driving to Key West and stopped for some refreshment. Who knew we were in for a great surprise!

The place is open doors but with these huts and some fans inside, it feels better than inside ACed buildings.

    THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT!

The portion looks normal but is absolutely very large! For my cousin who can normally finish 2 McDonald's big mac burgers, he couldn't even finish one grilled chicken sandwich. We also ordered shrimp scampi and a fish sandwich.

There is also a rock band setting up while we were eating (but unfortunately didn't start playing before we left).

The raw bar menu is a must-try! All food tastes SO fresh and exotic! Do not miss this place if you ever pass by!

Dive bar on the beach, yes please.  Little tiki huts line up the area surrounding the bar, oh my what a cool place.  We were here for cinco de mayo with friends and had so much fun.  The drinks are strong, reasonable and a very fun crowd.  This laid back community has such friendly patrons and bartenders.

We did not order any food here, actually not even sure if they offer food. They have a parking lot for cars and a boat dock so very easy to get to.  I also noticed a cute boutique hotel right next door.  Great place to get a hotel then hang out here all day or night.

Check this place out for some great fun.

On the way back from a successful, drunken trip to Key West the hubs and I just HAD to stop by the Tiki Bar to make our adventure complete! Must I say this was two months ago and I am still to this day thinking about the Key Lime Coladas! The Ship Wreck drink was delicious too! The Tiki Bar does not have food, so we walked over to the Raw Bar to stuff our faces.

    Appetizer: Clam Chowder... DELICIOUS!
Actual Meal (don't know why I got something else because the clam chowder was filling):
Baja Fish Tacos... a tad bit fishy to me!
Drinks: Another Key Lime Colada please! :)

Love the tikis and view of the ocean! This spot makes you forget about home and feel more like you are in your own little paradise. Though it was pretty quiet on a Friday, it was also a Friday afternoon. Nevertheless, we will indeed be returning!

Very fun place with a good ambiance! Went for Memorial Day weekend and had a blast! Loved the location and the 3 bars in location. Didn't try the food but it looked amazing!
The famous rum runners are pretty delicious for $9.00 they aren't as strong as I thought they would be but a must try if you come to this location. They advertise $5.00 Oak Rum & Coke which seemed like a better deal and I will get next time!

    Will come again!

Four stars because it's the only real happening place in Islamorada, meaning that it's the only place where there's always people. It's spacious and under a big tiki hut, they have a stage where live bands play (seems like reggae bands a lot, but the last one I saw was very good) and they have a full bar. Drinks are moderately priced. Bartenders are hit or miss - on one visit I asked if they had any good beers and was told they only had Heineken, Corona and domestic U.S. beers. Then on my next visit I saw that they had Key West Sunset Ale on tap. I guess the previous bartender didn't know about that or didn't realize they had a craft beer on tap. I give this place 4 stars just because it seems like a place where most people are having a good time and if you wanted to go out and party while in Islamorada, this is one of the only places to go, as the rest of the area is pretty quiet.

A great place to stop for a pit stop on the way to key west. A great way to break up the drive with a nice refreshing rum runner. Virgin version for the drivers. Great atmosphere with live music at the more desirable times.

There is nothing like a good rumrunner at Tiki Bar to really make you feel like you are at The Keys. Sit right down and enjoy your drink while you take in a sunset by the water.

This place is seen better days, it was very quiet on a balmy friday night, but in their defense I haven't been here in a while & also they are doing major remodeling for the hotel next door.

There is a certain nostalgia to this place that always keep having me stop by while at the keys. We have had some fun times out there specially during the summer months. The rum runners are such a treat on a hot day (very sweet but hell you are not a fancy bar) and mostly domestic beers on tap are found. No light version of corona, sucks but again no one around here is coming around while on a diet.

I can't comment on the food, only the multicolor chips and salsa (please get with the program and use fresh non colored chips)  since being vegetarian there is not much else you can order besides the fries....

After 2 rum rummers w/ the extra shot, any carbs will do the trick.

Looking forward to having Shula's opening out there and seeing the new hotel. I am sure it will be really nice time next Memorial day!

One word for this place: FUN!  My colleagues and I stopped in here on our way down to the Florida Keys. There were about 20 of us and we stopped in to have some oysters and drinks. Most of us had the 'Rum Runner' drink and it was good. I was ready to order a pitcher of this stuff!! I didnt try any oysters given that I do not like seafood. But from what I heard they were great. On the other hand, the views from where we stopped were phenomenal!! I could stay and watch the sunset and rise every day!! Plus it was a little quiet and peaceful. It would of been more fun if the tiki bar and the other places were 'hoppin'. I grabbed a few pictures of the area before we left.  This is definitely a place to stop at if you are heading farther down into the Florida Keys!

This is my favorite spot in between miami and key west. I suggest any and everyone thats going to the keys stop here for a drink or a snack at the Raw Bar. This is the home of the rum runner so make sure you try it and the ship wreck is good too. This place give you a real paradise feel with the tiki huts the view and the turquoise water. My first trip here I was a fan it's something to do even if your not going to the keys and you just wanna get out of miami for some hours. Oh yeah our bartender I forgot her name all I remember is she had a big ass nicotine patch on her arm but she made the best long beach ice teas I ever had.. Cool place.

Isn't it always just fun to go there?  The food's not spectacular, the beach isn't grand, but it's your first taste of the Keys and it's always a classic and a must stop.

The staff in the bars and shops are all happy and friendly.  Even during crazed times, they are on their toes and moving.  The crowd is relaxed and everyone's either minding their own business or friendly.

The water is inviting and the music is loud.  I love the tiki bar!

ive been to the tiki bar only a few times. only for good times. always with good company. i was here recently, totally unexpected. took advantage of the happy hour. dollar draft beer. 3$ wine/wells.

friendly service, laid back crowd, gorgeous view. the tiki bar is an institution but i know it can get a little hectic on long weekend nights. lots of kids go there to get crazy. i know cause i did this 10 years ago...

    cheers!
