I read the reviews and on a recent business trip decided to visit Tim's! Â It was okay, definitely not the best BBQ ever. Â I ordered pull pork, corn and green beans. Â The sides were delicious - green beans well seasoned. Â But it was just okay. Â Nothing to right home about. Â Plus, there were upcharges for extra sauce, water, etc. Â
They did have a vast menu, but I probably will not visit the next time I'm in town! Â The staff was friendly, and the service was nice.
I've only visited once but I plan to go back to sample some more of the menu. Â Any place that is in a renovated gas station automatically gets a favorable review from me and the BIG menu here has lots of good stuff to try. Â My pulled pork sandwich was good and my buddy's ribs were too. Â Good sides too.
There is another place in town (Skyler's or something like that) that I didn't try but all the awards on Tim's wall tells me that they are the best place in town.
If I go back and have another good meal, I'll bump them up to 5 stars!
Tim's Awesome BBQ is the best BBQ around Southwest Indiana! Hands Down!!!! If your ever anywhere near Princeton. You gotta stop in. The friendly greetings and quality of food are always a guarantee.
Tim has a full BBQ menu available (as long as he hasn't sold out!) My favs include the pulled pork, it's out of this world! The St; Louis and Baby Back Ribs that are flavored perfectly. Brisket, which I've recently tried for the first time. I was amazed by the spices and the slow-cooked smoke flavor. though I haven't tried them, chicken (pulled and whole), Smoked sausage among a few other meats are also avail.
He also has a large selection of sides including the classic BBQ sides.... "Tim's Awesome Baked Beans" are always one of my choices. There's 2 slaws, Vinegar and Dixie. Â 2 tater salads, German and Mustard. Green beans, Corn & a Smoked baked potato. I know there's more....
The prices are typical of any other BBQ joint prices. They seem high until your done eating and realize it was well worth it. Unlike other joints when you wish you could get some money back as you walk out the door.
As of the date of this review. Tim's is open Wed-Sat.
