If you are looking for a trendy watering hole with typical pub grub, this may be the place. 5 TVs, full bar, music not too loud, comfy bar stools.

I went on a Monday at 6PM. There was no room at the long bar, so I took a seat at a tall table. I didn't order food since no one else was eating. I ordered a flight of the three Tipping Point brews plus another WNC stout. None of the beers were very impressive. The bitter was very bitter and the after taste lasted forever, the IPA was an assault to your taste buds, the Heff was as fruity as punch. The stout from another brewery was not bad.

I may take my wife here sometime and try the food and wine, but I will go  to Headwaters Brewery for my beer.

I stopped in because they have recently started brewing their own beer onsite, making it a brewpub. They have one rapidly-changing house beer now but they expect to eventually maintain 4-5 regulars. They also have a good selection of other beers including several NC products. Food is typical pub-style fare of excellent quality and the atmosphere is that of a classic neighborhood pub. It's a worthwhile stop when in Waynesville.

We only stopped in here for one beer while visiting Waynesville, but we had a great time. The service at the bar was fantastic and we found lots of nice people to talk to while we enjoyed a house-made brew. If I lived in the area, I would definitely stop in often and become a regular. We wanted to come back and try out the menu the next night, but they were closed for a private party. It's definitely a top priority for our next visit to the area.

Went to the Tipping Point tavern in Wayneville and had their amber - with a new IPA coming out this week, and plans for a "blow your mind brown". Their amber was quite good. Amber's for me usually have a very neutral flavor. This did as well, but it had a wonderful fresh flavor. It is definitely a beer to enjoy through a session (alcohol %, ?). So I did. The Tavern itself is a very comfortable pub with a menu full of typical pub food, looks to be an excellent local bar that welcomes "tourists" to become local's, if just for a few hours. Looking forward to their new brews, they intend to have 5 - 6 on hand on an ongoing basis over time. Visiting Waynesville? Visit, you'll like it. A good selection of local Guest taps available as well.

Good chicken tenders.   Marginal fajitas.    Good service.

We ate here while visiting the mountains this past weekend. My overall impression of this place was "eh..." I did not care for the smoked pulled pork on my carolina cuban sandwich, but the chips we got with their salsa were pretty good. Their nachos looked delicious, but sadly we did not order them. My fiance got their version of a cheesesteak and said it was also edible, but not anything outstanding. Maybe we just got the wrong things, but it's a fairly small menu so you'd expect everything to be their best.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. If I lived in the area it would be a good place to grab beers with friends and watch whatever's on their tvs.

We debated between this place and the pizza place up the street a bit. I kinda wished we'd chosen pizza. I had higher expectations for something that had that hidden gem appeal from the sidewalk on historic main street.

Great place to have a beer and some good pub grub and BBQ while in the pretty little town of Waynesville. They have a wide selection of beers and of course a full bar for the folks who want a cocktail. My wife and I stop in for a visit on every trip to Waynesville and always have a awesome time.

Great bar in Waynesville that seems to attract as much local clientele as tourists - always a good sign! They have a good selection of brews (soon to have 3 Tipping Point bottles they're going to make on-site), and mix their drinks well! Not sure why one of the other reviewers was surprised it is more bar than restaurant; it is Tipping Point Tavern after all.

Next time I'm in the Asheville area, I'll definitely be back!

Went with my cousin while in town and it was a great little bar.

I had the pork shoulder which I was told is smoked in house and smothered in bbq sauce made in house as well.  The side was fried corn on the cob and it was good as well.

If I am back in Waynesville I will for sure be back.

More of a bar than a restaurant, was expecting more from the folks behind Sweet Onion.

Small menu and were out of my 1st choice.

Cheddar dip app was not bad.

Cheeseburger was good and cooked as ordered.

Sand special was BBQ on a roll with some peppers.  Not to my liking, but the wife liked it.

If I was still a drinker it would be a good spot for me.
