I think this place would be a lot more fun if it wasn't so crowded that you cant move. If there was a band that I liked playing, I would have stayed longer.

Super fun bar with a big dance floor and located in Pier Park.

$5 "cheap" beer.  Drunk customers.  Normally packed house. AND they have people in the bathroom giving you soap and a towel.  I can't stand that... For that reason alone I might not be back.

but if you are looking for a no frills bar with live music almost every single night then this is the place.

Menu looked decent for bar food but I've never eaten here...

First off, I love the Tootsie's in Nashville, which you can see live on a monitor in this location.  I'm not a country music fan, but I do appreciate good musicians and a fun atmosphere.  This Tootsie's seems to be missing something, maybe due to its weird location in a bit of an uppity retail area.  Its neighbors are among others, a Starbucks, some art gallery, and a Tervis Tumbler place.  I did get a nice tumbler.  For the 2nd straight year during the Thunder Beach Fall Rally, we brought in a large group into Tootsie's to enjoy live music, drink, and cutup a little.  We end up leaving much earlier than planned due to knowing there are so many other fun options out there that have a more genuine feel.  Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place and I'm sure it's fun on some nights or a different time of the year; it just feels a little off.

The place to go if you're visiting Pier Park. Live music all the time and very good bar service.

Although, it's a tourist trap..you'll find locals here, too.

A different "feel" from the original location in Nashville but definitely a good time if you like country music!

This is not my first destination of the night but you can guarantee I've had a beer or two here before the nights over!
I usualy find myself wondering into this place after hofbrau beer garden accross the street closes. The last time I was here a huge bar fight broke out and the country band sang Michael Jacksons "Beat-It" the entire time... It was GREAT!!!

Let's start by saying I'd rather be at the PCB Tootsie's watching the satellite feed of the Nashville Tootsie's than spend time in the Nashville Tootsie's.  PCB's Tootsie's has SPACE - to breath AND stand!  They bring (mostly) great bands down from the Nashville location, especially during the big weeks (like bike week).  Only complaint is there's no blender for frozen drinks...

Even though they consider themselves a family place, I wouldn't bring any kiddie-o's.  It can get very crowded and exceptionally loud.  Good place to meet people, just hard to carry on a conversation at times.  They serve various kinds/types of beer, and they do have a miniature grill.  Its larger than the original hole-in-the-wall, located in Nashville, TN.  Just not as grand with real Country & Western Stars/Singers.  Tootsie was a very generous person, but you won't find that type of generosity here.  Bring state or federal identification with you.  Minors (under 21) be aware, the police frequent here, and posts an officer at this location during its busiest business hours.

A small group of us decided to stop by around 9-10 o'clock. As the sign says over the door, there is "no cover ever", which was an immediate plus. The place was packed. Until we were able to grab a table, there was awkward standing room only. I felt a little weird, because as I was drinking my shot of Jack Daniels, I look over and there is like a 10-yr-old kid looking at me. Then, I noticed there were more children in the room. The overall demographic seemed to be over 45 and under 17, which was weird, cause I thought this was a bar. Our waitress didn't look a day over 15, but had to be, cause that would be illegal, right?  The band was okay, but then it came to my attention that they were taking requests. Being a musician myself, I know this is not easy. Your song catalog has to be huge, and some of the songs may not be in the best range for the singer. Which, by the way, pray that you are not around when they do Purple Rain.
I never went to the restroom here, but my boyfriend did, and was sadly disappointed, because just a urinal would not do. He said that there was 1 toilet in the corner, with no door, and there was a restroom attendant standing there staring at him. Needless to say, we didn't stay long.

Tootsie's location is a little weird to me.  With all the great oceanfront beach bars in this town why would anyone want to hang out at a bar in a mall?  None the less, Tootsie's draws the masses.  I've been here a few times and it has always been packed and here's why....

The live music is outstanding.  The people watching is great.  The drinks are cheap!

I am a not a country music guy, but this place is fun.  They have really good musicians who can play anything.  They serve food, but we only went for the music and a cold beer.  Great place!

This place is so much fun! Go at night for drinks and great entertainment! It's really lively and the music gets better as they bring in better musicians later at night! One of my favorite hangouts at the beach!

Stopped by after lunch at Five Guys just to check it out and see how it compares to Tootsie's in Nashville, which is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Music City.  There's no second floor like in Nashville, and it's a lot roomier, but the decor is spot on, and there's a nice stage.  I went in the early afternoon, so there wasn't any live music and the bar was pretty empty.  I'd like to go again at night some time to get the full experience.  I had a great time talking with the friendly bartender and it was nice to get out of the sun for a bit.  Still, what makes Tootsie's great is the nightlife, and I wasn't there at the right time to see what the PCB location has to offer in that regard.
