  I looked for an email address to contact the restaurant directly first, but none exists, so I will describe here why I rate it two stars. Note: Apparently the regular crowd disagrees with me because the place was full by 5:30 on a Friday. I doubt I will hurt their business with this review (nor do I want to; I just want to share my experience, to help others avoid the same)...
  
  My wife and I came to the Trophy House because we had heard that the Prime Rib was excellent. We weren't aware that it is only served on Saturdays (and this was Friday). So I tried the batter-fried chicken and my wife opted for the fish fry, which was also supposed to be very good. The cole slaw my wife had was pretty good, and my salad was a typical supper-club type of salad and was alright for that. But then came the entrees.
  
  Simply put, I liked the batter on my chicken, it was done right, but jeez the chicken was salty. I assume they brine the chicken, because the saltiness wasn't coming from the batter. It didn't taste much like chicken to me. The fries were ok.
  
  So then I tried my wife's fish. Someone said that their coating was thin and crispy...  Well, I guess it was, but neither the fish nor the coating had any flavor whatsoever. Just really bland nothing. And the tartar sauce tasted very sweet, and like sweet pickles. So eating the fish dipped in tartar sauce did not help much. Her au gratin potatoes were in some kind of cheese sauce, not real cheese by its looks.
  
  The waitress didn't ask us how our meals were as she took away the plates with uneaten food...  I would have told her. Now although we may be back to test the Prime Rib, honestly, the food tonight was two stars.

  Love the batterfried shrimp! They are huge shrimp, with a light batter coating. A great price for a meal that includes soup, salad and potato. Friday night fish is also very popular. Nice little small town bar-restaurant. Friendly staff.

  We have eaten at the Trophy House numerous times and each time is great.  The food is home made and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.  The owners are usually there to thank you for coming in.  The Sunday night all you can eat roast beef dinner is fantastic and the Friday night fish fry is also good.  I would recommend this restaurant.
