This place ROCKS! We came her on the 4th based on outstanding Yelp reviews. Tim was our host and made us feel welcomed like old friends. We stayed for close to a hour and a half chatting with the husband and wife owners of this super cool winery. We can't wait to come back soon with our friends. Keep up the good work!
Review Source:Twenty Rows is an event space, filled with barrels, and great for large groups and small who are looking to try a bunch of good wines. This isn't a place to see vineyards.
Tim (I think that was his name?) was hilarious, generous with the pours, and served us our complimentary cheese plate (with Yelp check in). Not to mention that the tasting fee was $10 for probably 6 tastings, the wines were good and affordable.
I would definitely return and make sure to try the Vinoce wines, their top tier label. Just keep in mind that this is an event space near downtown, not a vineyard.
We went here a couple years ago on our annual trip to Napa after tasting the Twenty Rows Cab locally. Â
This tasting was incredible -- very generous pours, and lots of fun and entertaining conversation. Â You really feel like the family wants to share their love of wine with you versus the "commercial" experience that can happen in Napa. Â We were able to tour the facility, and do a barrel tasting, which was extra special. Â We continue to enjoy their wines (one of our favs, Alma Nove serves Twenty Rows), and would definitely recommend a stop next time you're in Napa.
The only downside is the tasting room is not located at the vineyard, so if you want the full experience of wandering among the vines, you'll miss out. Â But the family engagement and personal touch are outstanding. Â Enjoy!
One of my favorite places in Napa.
Stopped by Memorial Day Weekend with my boyfriend. We had researched the best places to go to while in Napa, and Twenty Rows was on our list of the most highly rated and least commercial/corporate wineries.
Service was excellent -- Twenty Rows is operated by the family that owns the vineyards. Â They really do care about their customers and it shows.
The family was able to achieve a very intimate setting in a very spacious place. Â Wish there were places in LA like this.
My boyfriend and I tried a few wines (both Vinoce and Twenty Rows), mostly reds.  Our favorite was the 2011 Grappler, a nutty Zinfindel that was a great value at $20.  We purchased two and they waived  the charge of the tasting.
Definitely would come again. Â Thank you so much!
I should start by saying I may be biased. I LOVE the owners and the atmosphere in this place so much that the wine may get carried along in the wave of emotion. But, I do love everything about this establishment, including the wine.
You will be hard pressed finding a less pompous or a more real experience in the area. The people, Tim and his parents specifically, have created a place where you would be proud to take your closest, or even most distant, relative to "show off" the California wine mecca that is Napa.
When my family visited from Texas for my brothers funeral, we took them here (and yes, there was a Cowboys/Niners game on during our scheduled tasting- so guess what the Nuss family did? Moved the tasting upstairs in front of the TV! (Who does that?!) Their good nature and kind hearts provided just what we needed during a difficult time.
I also celebrated my 40th bday there and lucked into it also being a Saturday Reggae event with live music and delicious appetizers. There is ALWAYS a party at Vinoce/Twenty Rows.
The pours are generous.
The events are beyond compare.
The people will become your close friends.
Since this IS a winery, I'd be remiss forget to mention that The Grappler is fantastic- and I typically avoid heavy blends. Their Sauvignon Blanc is a house favorite.
Be SURE to ask the origins of how everything has been named for an extra special trip through the minds and lives of the wine makers.

I wanted to love this place since their bottle prices are so darn reasonable for Napa Valley, but it really fell short of my expectations. Â The atmosphere was cool, and service was decent, but I just didn't like the wine. Â They let us sample some of the higher end wines too which retail at about $70 a bottle...these were far less good than many of the $25 wines we sampled in Napa/Sonoma. Â I wouldn't go again or recommend this place to a friend, unfortunately.
Review Source:A hidden gem in NAPA.
Another family owned winery/warehouse that offers great, friendly, accomodating service. Â If you have a NAPA card, your free tasting comes with cheese platter which is awesome!!!
We definitely had a great time tasting their wines. When you go inside there are barrels all over this huge warehouse which gives you a great feel of barrel rooms.
They host weddings , parties and hosts upcoming artists.
Really a must stop if you are in the area.
Oh I like these rows.
Yet another place you would never imagine a wine tastery to reside. Nestled on the outskirts of the less glamorous part of Napa, this place really is a hidden gem.
We parked in the parking lot next door of what appeared to be a dance studio ( there were kids outside practicing batons) again, no glamorous exterior but my, do you walk into a quite secluded, subdued, lounge and somewhat romantic atmosphere. Certainly my kind of environment.
We were greeted by the owner Lori. She was an absolute doll. She went over the wine selections and of course assisted us with the tastings. She also went over some of the history behind the winery. We also were then assisted by her extremely friendly son. Â He also went over the different wine varietals. Â There red blend called the "Grabbler" was absolutely fantastic and both mine and my friends favorite for sure. I also really enjoyed their Sauvignon Blanc and found to to be incredibly crisp and refreshing and accompanied us well on a certainly more than usual hot day.
They also have an art gallery there with some work from a local artist which was extremely interesting. They have events held here as well as concerts. We certainly would like to possibly attend one of there concerts.
We really enjoyed our visit here. Lori and her son were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel right at home. Not to mention they really have some delicious wines.
This is one wine winery that I will certainly visit several more times in the future.
A hidden gem!!!
Right off of main street Napa... the ambiance is wonderful, cool venue, with a great family feel, very friendly and relaxing. The wines are delicious with a wide range of prices for all.
You will dig the Grappler for every day drinking and the Cabs are spectacular for those special occasions...
If you enjoy intimate venues with awesome personal attention, this is a MUST STOP...
Check out their calendar of events, they have cool events going on during the evenings and weekends...
our favorite winery stop during our stay in napa this past weekend. Â cannot say enough awesome things about this place. Â tim was so welcoming and made us feel like a part of the family. Â we loved everything we tasted, most especially "napa's gatorade" (vinoce sauv blanc), the grappler, the reserve cab, and their olive oil!!! Â if they had a tasting room in LA, i'd be there at least once a week. Â thanks for the hospitality and for some damn good wine!
Review Source:This place  is  like a hidden gem, but judging by the reviews it may not stay that way long. We went based on the reviews and they don't lie.  The establishment is family owned and feels like it. Very inviting ambiance, and the selection of wines to taste is excellent. We liked them all and ended up getting a bottle of the Zinfandel, though we would have liked to have taken one of each. It is a must try in downtown Napa.
Review Source:Go! This is a hidden gem. Doesn't look like much from the outside, and odd since its in a residential area, but once you get inside its fantastic. Very intimate, mellow, artsy vibe. Owners and employees very friendly and chat with you authentically. Loved ALL the wines. How often can you say that? I may become a member....
Review Source:wonderful little family owned spot off the main highway... i enjoyed myself so much i wound up buying 3 bottles!
so my boyfriend had this fantastic idea on picking wineries to visit this time in Napa... "let's go to the ones that have some cool photos on yelp." -- sure, why not! this'll be interesting... and indeed it was. Â this strategy is what brought us to Twenty Rows... and i'm glad it did, b'coz i have found another favorite to add to my Napa list.
leaving the bright blue skies and bright shining sun outside as we set foot into the ambiance of Twenty Rows. Â it's dim and cool. there's a low hum of reggae music playing b'coz apparently it's reggae saturday! it's a sign... this place is for me.
everyone was so friendly and promptly greeted us, welcomed us in, and served us tastings of their delicious wines. there's a wonderful down-home feel to this place... owners came over to talk to us, get to know us, tell us a lil about the history of their winery and how it came to be... it was definitely one of my most memorable experiences in Napa.
on top of the family-style warmth... their wines were delightful! like i said, i ended up buying 3 bottles... well worth it!
Really cool little hide-away in Napa with great indoor seating and nice wines. Â This place reminds me of something outta the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. Â From the outside it really doesn't look like much but the interior is very expansive with tons of wine barrels and disbursed seating. Â Great wine sampling and appetizers. Â Tons of stuff to run around and look at for our toddler as well. Â
Loved it.
Wow, what a cool place! Literally and figuratively, it was hot outside and inside it was quite nice. Also the vibe was just really cool, a different and positive experience for my wife and I. Tim was an awesome host and fun to hand out and talk with. Really loved this place and the wine is good and inexpensive. A great place To come and chill...
Review Source:This place is AWESOME! :)
My boyfriend and I were wandering around the bay area and had some time to kill before heading out to a brewery tour. Since we were in Napa we decided to check out a tasting. I was afraid of randomly choosing a place due to the fact it might be pretentious- which is a great fear of mine since I don't know much about wine. I checked out Yelp and found that Twenty Rows was not to far from where we were.
When we got there we notice people standing outside waving at us. We were slightly thrown off that people might actually be excited about us arriving. Once we walk-in we were greeted by Tim who showed us around and gave us a complimentary tasting of one of their white wines.
Their space is AMAZING! It is super cool and is a very inviting atmosphere. Not too fancy and you feel like you could stay awhile. We decided to do the full tasting and Tim was very attentive in answering our questions and making sure that we were getting the most out of our experience.
At the end if it, we decided to grab three bottles of wine. We were very pleased with our whole experience.
I hear that they throw events every now and again and I will definitely be going back!
Had such a great time. When we pulled up this was not what we were expecting on the outside but we went in and so glad we did!!!! Very relaxed atmosphere, the guys were so accommodating. Lori was there and made you feel like you knew her for years. Honored the yelp check in deal. Generous pours, great wine. All in all a perfect end to our winery day.
Review Source:We set out on a wine tour and hit up Twenty Rows first and this winery sure set the bar high! Â Timmy was amazing giving us a great selection of whites and reds to try. Â I usually don't drink white wine, but I highly recommend the both the Twenty Rows and Vinoce Savignon Blanc choices. Â The Grappler Zinfandel blend is also an excellent choice if you enjoy red wine with a perfect combination of rich flavors and smoothness. Â We were visiting for my girlfriend's birthday and definitely felt like they made it a special experience including special pictures in front of the barrels and a few basketball shots for fun! Â Thank you Twenty Rows and Timmy! Â We can't wait for our case to arrive in Phoenix! Â :)
Review Source:Went here for a private tasting appointment.
Intially was skeptical as the outside is totally unassuming and not in a great looking area of town.
However, once inside the tasting room is very nice with barrels around and low lighting. It feels like a working winery rather than a sterile tasting room for the masses.
Tim greeted us warmly and had a great selection of cheeses and nuts for us to go with the wines. Â He was very informative and friendly.
The wines taste great. The Twenty Rows wines are around $20 and are just the right price to be an everyday table wine. The Cabernet Savignon was excellent. The Vinoce Sauvignon Blanc 2010 was one of the best I've tasted for $20.
The Vinoce Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2008 was really excellent and we bought two bottles.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for reasonably priced, excellent wine! The tasting room experience was great.
I had such a great time here, I would feel terrible if I didn't give them 5 stars. This tasting room felt like a hole in the wall, and initially upon arriving I was skeptical. But, as soon as we were greeted by Lori (owner) and we walked into the tasting room/barrel room, I loved it immediately. I don't usually like barrel rooms because of the dimness in them, but at Twenty Rows, they took the time to add a few extra lighting, some nice tables, and a nice lounging circle with cool looking lounge chairs ( i knew they wouldn't be comfy, but I couldn't resist sitting on them), which made the room feel much more romantic. After being greeted by Lori, we were introduced to her son Tyler who assisted us for the rest of the tasting. For such a young age, I have to give Tyler credit for being so knowledgeable about his family's business. He was very informative and helpful. My fiance (and I...I'm more quiet when my fiance is around =) ) enjoy chatting up our wine servers when we go wine tasting, and we definitely had a great time talking to Tyler. Lori came back mid way during our tasting and it was so fun talking to her as well. Honestly, very friendly and definitely family oriented winery. You can feel the hospitality from Lori when you talk to her. Because we felt so comfortable and was having such a good time, we spent over an hour ( I think close to 2hrs) at their tasting room.
Now onto the wines, we tasted a sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, merlot, the grappler, a twenty rows cab and their Vinoce label Cab. Â All of their twenty row label wines were $20. Good deal for great wine, in my opinion. Â The ones that stood out to me the most were the Chardonnay, the Grappler and the Merlot. Needless to say, we walked away with half a case of wine filled with a combination of the three wines above. During our tasting, Tyler also offered us a little plate of bread and homemade croutons (made by Lori- which were delicious on their own may I add) to dip with their Olive Oil (which they also make).
Again, it was just so friendly and quiet here, I would definitely go back. I would also recommend this to anyone who are more interested in the smaller wineries to get a more personal experience. It's definitely not the type where you see the vineyard, or taste in this fancy room with 5 servers at a time behind the bar. Again, small, intimate, and personal wine tasting experience.
This place is a joke! The most unprofessional and rude people I have dealt with! I called to make a reservation since my friend was visiting from L.A. They called me back a couple of days later (the day before our visit). The guy, very casually, said he will be going to a football game and so he will wont be able to make it!! I said that is too bad because we wanted to buy a few cases of wine. Then he said he will call me back. He then called and said someone will be there tomorrow and so we made our appointment. The next day we drove all the way there an no one was there. Â After waiting several minutes and calling several times while outside their door, no one answered or even returned our calls to this date. Â If you don't want to do business why do you pretend??
Review Source:what a great place to visit and taste wine... Â one of the coolest tasting rooms and the only winery in downtown Napa.. Â Â
check it out.. Â great music, great wines, ask to taste Vinoce too.. Â
Tyler and Tim are super cool guys, they will show you a great time.. Â
this is the perfect wine to have in the house to drink all the time..
Very very pleased with Twenty Rows. The wines are Yummy! The owners are wonderful! The location and ambiance is very cool!
If you have read any of my other winery reviews you will know that I am not an expert in the field but I fancy myself a Wine-O! And boy do my taste buds know what it likes - The Grappler.
It wasn't just the Grappler (and the awesome & cute story behind the name of the wine) that was tasty but everything else also!
We visited the winery back on the Friday before Memorial weekend. We were in luck as we were the first tasting of the morning and also the only ones tasting. It was VIP service, which I am sure we would have still received if there were others in the winery tasting with us.
Needless to say I took home 4 bottles of wine - This was the first winery we visited and the one where I took home the most bottles.
Next time I am in Napa I am signing up for the wine club! I am also VERY interested in possibly hosting a private event here. It's very cool!
I went to Twenty Rows recently with a big group of girlfriends and they had by far the best wines and tasting room experience of the weekend. This is the only downtown Napa location to actually make the wine, which lends itself to a very authentic yet unpretentious experience.
The manager/owner/tasting room operator, Tim, has so much enthusiasm for his family wines and his passion for the industry easily shines through.
I would recommend this winery to anyone that wants to drink great, non-commercial wines and get a personalized experience. It's good for groups big or small. They might even be willing to setup a cheese plate in anticipation of your arrival:)
Delicious wines and wonderful staff. Â I loved going to Twenty Rows. It is located just outside of downtown Napa--away from the craziness of Highway 29. And the service is personable and personal. The owners are so friendly and very proud to share their wines with the public. Â
Oh, and the wines. Absolutely fantastic. Some of the best Napa has to offer, in my opinion. What a great place. Â I will be back everytime I go to Napa. I heard they are starting a Wine Club soon. Can't wait to join.
The only working winery in the city of Napa. I love this place. Very nice knowledgeable tasting room. A little off the beaten track, but worth the effort to find. They make some of the best affordable wines in the valley. If you are staying at the Westin or downtown Napa this is a great place to go to when you check in on a Friday and want to get an early start on your wine tasting before dinner. But be warned, if this is the first winery you go to on your visit, you may be to jaded to enjoy any other wineries. A must visit winery on any Napa trip.
Review Source:A group of my girlfriends and I went to the Twenty Rows Winery and Tasting room and I could not have been more impressed. Â It was my first time going to a tasting room, and Tim really set the bar high. Â He was extremely knowledgeable about the different types of wines and he even told us about the differences in grape vines and how that can affect the grapes that are produced. Â The tasting room is beautifully decorated and Tim and his family were extremely accommodating. Â When it came to purchasing wines, he was not at all pushy (something I REALLY appreciate), but we all ended up buying at least two bottles anyways. Â The Sauvignon Blanc was absolutely delicious, and I normally only drink reds. Â I really liked their Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the red wine that Tim personally developed. Â I will 100% be returning to the Twenty Rows tasting room the next time I make a trip to St. Helena/Napa, and I have already recommended it to some of my friends. Â It was my favorite tasting room out of the three we visited that weekend. Â Definitely worth seeing!!!
Oh and they will deliver your wine for you so it's great if you flying home!
