Fun and friendly. Two Goats gets my vote. After sampling wine and taking photos it is the perfect place to have a crafted beer, watch the sunset and make a new friend or two. Service is wonderful and helpful in the choices that they have. They have live music from time to time. Low key, and enjoyable.
Review Source:Stopped in on a Thursday and it was packed! And for good reason. Great beer :-)
The guys behind the bar were super friendly and willing to pour you a sample so you can try a beer before you order a whole pint. Â The decor is interesting - lots of vintage beer signs, dollar bills from patrons on the ceiling, etc. Â Cozy, small tasting area inside and a great outdoor deck where you can enjoy your brews.
My only complaint is that they don't sell beer in flights, which inhibits you from being able to try everything on tap (unless you're not driving and plan on getting super drunk!) - I heard several other people ask for flights while I was sitting at the bar enjoying my pints, so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a flight to their menu :-) Â But the beer and atmosphere were great, so I definitely recommend stopping here during your Seneca Lake wine/beer tour!
Awesome place to hang out over good beer, great atmosphere and the most loaded roast beef sandwich around.
Check out The Critical Crapper for a review of the bathrooms at Two Goats! hilarious

I found these guys through the htoel we were staying at in watkins glenn. They had a brouche for them. If i hadnt found that i prolly would have past right by it while out doing tastings. Walking in it wasnt what I was expecting but i loved that about this place. Good microbrew on tap tried the cream ale and headbutt both really good. The bartender is really nice and talked to everyone there. It was fun to see how they got the dollars on the ceiling also. but like its been said before its not for tastings its a bar so if you want to slow things down a bit and sit and drink a really good beer this is you place. I make sure to stop in and get my growler filled everytime me and my wife do a wine stock up.
Review Source:I give them 4 stars because the beer was really good. Every style nailed it dead nuts on, just as you would expect the style to taste like. They stay well within the style boundaries.
It's ran differently from the typical breweries as they do not do tastings. I did however get a sample of every style I was interested in. I ended up going home with 2 growlers, the pale ale and the IPA.
I did not eat there not did I see the menu.
We went to this place when starting our beer tour around Seneca Lake. Â They make five of their own beers and also sell a good deal of other good craft beer. Â
This place is a bar. Â We did not realize it was a bar when we went here. Â Being used to the wine tour around the lake we were expecting something along the other winery lines but were surprised to find this was nothing like that. Â It seems to be a great spot for locals to hang out, listen to some live music, play some darts and have a beer. Â The view off of their deck is spectacular as it overlooks the lake. Â
They don't do tastings like all of the other places around there. Â They feel that tastings are a waste of time and will give you a free sample of something before they sell you a pint to drink on the deck. Â They make some killer beer here! Â The Hefeweizen was exceptional as was their cream ale. Â The folks working the bar really know beer and can talk beer to any level of connoisseur/drinker. Â They don't bottle their beer and have no intention of growing to a point so that they can distribute their beer. Â If you want some you have to go there and have a pint or buy a growler, which they do sell.
It's kind of tucked away on the side of the road so it's quite easy to drive by initially. Â Their sign is small although they do put a huge sign out front that says "BEER". Â It's worth a stop to have a pint but if you plan on doing a lot of wine or beer tasting that day it's probably best to skip it until the end of your tour or for another day.
Get a beer, eat the beef and take in the amazing view of the lake.
One of the highlights of my trip to the Finger Lakes was coming here. The roast beef sandwich was recommended to my boyfriend and I at a vineyard down the road.
The owner, Jon is personable and loves what he does. It shows in the beer and the space. Â It was awesome getting to briefly talk to him.
PBR is always in tap. Cheap beer- good for the live shows that happens on weekends. Wine is available and over 15 different bottled beers (Sea Dog, Ommegang, Sierra Nevada, Southern Tier and etc)
BUT, you should try one of their beers-It's the only place you can get it. And, it's great.
I had two Hefeweizen's. I tried the Cream Ale- good. My boyfriend had the Goat Master Ultra Pale Ale which he loved.
One beer can easily turn into 2 or 3. Enjoy the jams and ask about the dollar bills on the ceiling.
This is a heads up to all the Wine Trail people. Â
Two Goats is more of a BAR. Â This is not a tasting room for a brewery. Â This is a business that sells beer by the glass. Â I am sure you can TASTE what they brew but there is NOT a tasting counter. Â I will say this again: THIS IS A BAR PEOPLE.
NO, you cannot make a reservation. Â Yes, you can arrive with your GROUP. Â There is ample space for all. Â
When this place opened I had feared the Wine Trail GROUPS would ruin it with their amateur tasters and massive groups of screaming girls. Â YUCK. Â This is NOT the place for you.
Rant over, i love you Two Goats. Â Please don't ever change.
I called in to Two Goats to see if it'd be a problem if a group of 12 stopped in during our wine tour in late July. I was told to email him at his website. I emailed and received no answer so I called back. Again I was told to email and wasn't offered assistance over the phone. I noticed they were active on Facebook so I wrote on their wall, explaining how I've reached out to them several times and asked for someone to contact me. Well I got what I asked for peppered with a lot of passive aggressiveness. Why would a business, who doesn't even typically BOOK reservations, act so disrespectfully. I could have just shown up since they don't require a reservation and thought I was being considerate. Below is my correspondence from Jon the owner:
jon@twogoatbrewing:
We are totally booked on that day.
Thanks,
TGB
my response:
When I called in the other day, whoever I spoke with was very welcoming and mentioned it shouldn't be a problem to stop in on 7/28 at 3p.m. I was under the impression that me emailing to let you know a larger group was coming was a considerate thing, not that I'd be told it's not possible...
I didn't mean to offend with the Facebook post earlier.. I was just trying to get a response since I have the luxury of organizing a 12 person group and need a final itinerary soon. I actually was really excited to visit your location even though there isn't necessarily a 'tasting' that would happen.
Is there any way we could make the accomdation possible? If 3 p.m. doesn't work we could come in earlier. I find it hard to believe the day is fully booked when you guys don't usually offer reservations to boot.

YOur messages come to us as spam...therefore they are deleted. I found
your message in the trash. Since you mentioned it, yes, i am wondering
about your motives and attitude....but that's your business.
Saturday is a VERY busy day and 3 ish to 7 ish is the busiest time.
You can believe what you want, I intend no offense or any in the past....
We try to accommodate all our patrons and appreciate the business, but
some do slip through the cracks.
We can be flexible, but not so much on Saturdays.
Hope you can understand.

Love this place! Excellent beers, including some that aren't brewed by Two Goats, but their Cream Ale is fantastic. Amazing view of the lake from the deck out back.
Surprised to see anyone complain about the food... why would you go here to eat? Tons of other options nearby if you need expansive menu options, but if you want some brews, there's nothing even close to this place in the area.
We are locals and stopped for a beer today after a visit to Corning. My husband has been here quite a few times to hang out with friends. But this was my first time. Just the breathtaking view as one gets to the brewery is amazing with the views of the lake, the vineyards, the blazing trees combined with the packed porch promised a lot. And the IPA delivered. It is a wonderful, friendly, "everyone is part of this neighborhood" establishment that reaches out to tourist and locals.
Do not expect lots in the way of food. Their menu lists roast beef sandwiches as the food they offer--and those localvores who I respect and love salivate happily when chatting about these sandwiches. Go for the beer, the people and the location. A little piece of heaven.
My wife and I stopped in during a trip to Watkins Glen. Â She had a pint of the Cream Ale (which I helped her finish) and I had the IPA. Â Each were $4.
The IPA is quite good, I preferred it to the Cream Ale. Â
One thing that no other reviewer mentioned is the dollar bills stuck on the ceiling. Â I asked the bartender and apparently people take dollar bills, attach a half-dollar coin to it and a tack and then whip it at the vaulted barn-like ceiling and some of them stick (it's quite a challenge). Â
The bartender said it was the owner's retirement fund. Â I think he'll be working for a few more years yet -- there couldn't be more than $200 up there.
I can't really add too much else to what's been said already, but the bathrooms are quite nice, much nicer than you'd expect at a bar. Â Rustic, exposed chrome pipes, old-fashioned four-prong faucets on the facilities. Â And extremely clean to boot. ;)
What a gem of a place!! Stopped into this small craft brewery while touring the Seneca Lake area on a day off from work in the area with 4 co-workers/beer lovers. The owners folks were tending the place and both were fantastic hosts, to say the least-very charming. Their beers were very nicely done, all 3. The Stout was wonderful, IPA absolutely spot on, and the Cream Ale delicious(this surprised me-not a style I usually care for. REAL nice mixed w/ their Stout-called a 'Head Butt') The building is a small old barn they moved from a couple miles down the lake. View out the back from the deck is just amazing, overlooking wine grapes closing in on their harvest with strips of anti-bird mylar fluttering and with the muffled sounds of bird scaring noise cannons floating over the shimmering water of the nicest of the Finger Lakes.. 2 dartboards and music gear upstairs made me wish I could come back, throw some games of 301, quaff great beer, and listen to the band until I needed a ride home. :) They also offer a very respectable beer selection in bottles and sell a couple of different sandwiches. After our request for some T-shirts brought out the whole inventory, we all chipped in to fold and organize them w/ Mom&Pop right on the bar. People, you need to go here; as previously stated - A GEM!!!!!
Review Source:On the wine trail, just by walking in you can tell Two Goats is for the locals. Â Outsiders are definitely welcome, but this is where the locals come to avoid the tourists. Â Couldn't tell too much from the website. Â I had intentions of stopping here for lunch but the Stonecat came up first. Â
Two Goats is located in an old barn, and has huge ceilings and a loft area above the bar.  I heard the loft is where the live bands play from on weekend nights, which I thought was really cool.  Two Goats has about 4 beers that they brew there and a few other great mirco brews as well. Â
I sampled two beers, and ended up getting my usual, a darker ale.  It didn't blow my socks off, but by no means was it bad.  I loved the free popcorn in the corner, always a plus to any bar!  There is an outside deck that wraps around the back, and it gives swell views of the lake, as you can see in the other Yelpers pix.  I enjoyed my time here off the beaten wine trail path, and would visit again.  I can easily see myself giving this place 5 stars if I came during a live music set!
Came upon this place after doing a little wine tasting. What amazing views of Seneca! And to see Lagunitas on tap made me so happy I could have cried. The whole atmosphere of the place is entirely enchanting, welcoming, and comforting. Two Goats and being able to hang out with my boyfriend for 2 weeks were the absolutely best parts of the vacation.
Review Source:Awesome little brewery on Seneca Lake with spectacular views from high up on a hill. The interior is really cozy with big wood beams and lots of extra seating out on the patio. This place must be pretty new because they were just brewing the very first batch of beer yesterday when we visited and it smelled so good outside (if you like that smell). They had a great micro brew selection and a pretty knowledgeable bartender that had good suggestions and offered tastings. Currently knocked up, I'm unable to drink any beer (insert soft sob here) but this place had a great little non alcoholic section with funky lemonade and a couple presses that sounded so good. It was beastly hot yesterday so we only stayed for a couple of beers but they had some fans bringing in the lake breeze and it was tolerable. This region can't handle this kinda heat!
Oh and the popcorn machine is always a welcome plus in any bar. yum.
