Day three of our little tour of eastern Wisconsin found us at Mosinee at lunch time after visiting several cheese makers up around Colby.  Again we were attracted to a main street café, namely Two's Company.  We risked it despite our experience in Wabasha the day before.
We had been eating plenty and kept this to soup and appetizers and had a good meal. Â Their soup of the day was called Hamburger Vegetable. Â It had been raining all day and was cool, so this really warmed us up. Â It was clearly home made with good balanced flavors. Â It was tomatoey with some chili powder. Â This is not gourmet stuff, but was homey and thoughtful.
We had to try some deep fried cheese curds. Â These were delicious. Â They were rubbery, chewy and hot with a light coating. Â They were not greasy. Â We asked where they got their curds and were told, Mullins Cheese. Â This happened to be where we were headed next.
We split an order of wings. Â It was a large order, consisting of only the second joint, which I like. Â They were good except they applied too much Louisiana hot sauce. Â It did not make them too hot, but the vinegar was overwhelming. Â This needs to be tempered somewhat or offered as a side dip.
All in all we had a nice meal. Â The server was very friendly and prices were reasonable. Â Based on our little sample, I expect there are plenty of good things on the menu.
