Living in the valley.... "Granted" we do not have a lot of places to chose from.
And yes, TX is a smaller club than the average, and yes, it is located next to a restaurant/bar.
(Who cares what is located next to, as long as its safe, and clean........)
I've heard some say, next to a wing place? so what??? You can grab something to eat before, or after wards....!)
A lot of places in SF/Bay Area are located next to a restaurant too (?)
I don't understand why people are so negative about that..
(Everybody is hungry after a night of dancing)
I must say, Ive had a GREAT time every time I've been there.
(FYI- I can only speak on Saturday nights, when Mega 100 hosting it - Â I don't know about the other nights) Â
The staff is very friendly, security guards are always around making sure everything is OK... They even walk you to your car if needed. (Now, that's nice) Â
The bartenders are extremely nice, and fix up great/full drinks!! I'm not sure how to spell their names, but my favorite one is Donnex, he is adorable!! Very friendly and respectful! Â and also cute! :)
I like the music they play, I am a big Mega 100 fan, so yes, I love the old school and R&B. Â
They do line dancing as well on some nights, what more can you ask for...!
AND they even have comedy nights...
They have, I don't know how many feet of mirror walls, and believe me, they will become fun as the night takes you away ;)
Our MC, Mr Tony Bear! himself, is also there hosting it and making sure everyone is on that dance floor!
Giving shout outs on birthdays, and letting people get on the air.
Nothing better than having our own local DJ joining in the party! :)
I just love it.
He is fun, he is friendly, and he is always giving the goodies away: concert tickets, food coupons, sports-games tickets, free passes for this or that, etc you name it!!! He makes a lot of jokes around, and if people take it personal, well, hey.....
Life is too short to take things personal. Live a little & have fun!
A club is what you make out of it, but It also has a lot to do with the company you bring.
(I'm always surrounded by fun and positive people, and yes we dress up!)
Its a place where people go... Â after a long week of work, go dancing, go have a good time, and enjoy the night away!
I don't know if I could say the same with Mega 100 not being there, but as long as they continue to host it, yes! I will continue to visit!
My only recommendation would be this: If you want to get a table, get there by 10:30sh... Club gets full after 11pm.
And if you want to get in for free, get on their guest list.
Enjoy!
Its good if your desperate for a place to go. Otherwise it kinda lame. The bar tender was over worked. I guess they would rather have people stand around and wait rather than serve drinks and make money. We had VIP section and there was no bottle service. No one came by to see if we needed drink. At one point a bouncer brought us drink. lol... Then the VIP ropes were taken down because they needed them for something more important than customers paying $150 a bottle. Trust me... my friend paid it. Not me. I wouldn't give them a dime. They had a dress code posted, but inside there was a guy with shorts and tennis shoes, and a few girls with denim shorts and flip flops. WTF!?! They're obviously desperate for customers so they threw the dress code out. The music was good... the MC was fun. But in general... they are really about making cheap cash... not even interested in their rep.
Review Source:My lady & I went 2 check out the comedy show (Saturday 03/09/13) it was fun... Afterwards it became a sort of dance club & all was good but then the "m.c." preceded 2 insult me & my attire & was just a plain PRICK... Needless 2 say I was very insulted cus we just wanted 2 go out 4 a nice time & he totally f#@*ed up our evening... This place just lost themselves a customer... 2 bad nice atmosphere but douche of an "m.c." (I use the term "m.c." loosely)
