Varsity Sports Grill

We tried this place despite the mediocre reviews and though it was much better than many of the Yelpers. We were with a fairly large group and folks had pizza, ribs, steak, and shrimp. Everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. I had the Kentucky Bourbob Steak over crispy potato strings. It was very good. The large beers are huge!

Had a pepperoni pizza and it was amazing. Waitress was also very friendly

We stopped by for a late lunch.  It was a nice sports bar.  A Razorbacks theme dominated the walls.  I had to laugh when I saw a plaque of Joe Klein on the wall.  I guess he had fans in college.  I liked that there was a DJ booth but wondered why he was there during early afternoon.  There are a lot of TVs throughout the place and I found my self looking at 3 or 4 different screens.  They tried hard to make sure many different games were on, not just one or two.

The service was great.  Our waitress made sure we were taken care of.  She did a good job.

The food was OK.  I had the club sandwich and I have had better.  The fries were typical.  The burgers looked huge and good so I may have to try that in the future.

I would go back and try different things on the menu.  The atmosphere and the service are definitely what make this place worth visiting.
