Visiting family in Bluefield, my wife and I were looking for a place to have lunch that wasn't either a Chinese buffet or chain. We settled on Villa Italian due to family recommendation.

It seems I'm going to have to rethink my family, because this was a terrible experience, even with lowered expectations for middle-of-nowhere Bluefield. We started with the sweet potato fries, which come with honey mustard and are sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, although sprinkled doesn't do the sandstorm of sugar justice.

For our mains, I had the Italian steak sandwich, thinking it would be something familiar for a guy who's been living in Philly.  It WAS familiar, because it was basically meat sauce in a bun covered withe cheese.  There was nothing steak about it.  The real winner, though, was my wife's blackened chicken salt lick. I love salt, but this chicken was inedible. We asked for a piece of plain chicken to replace it, and they took the plate to the back where the manager tasted my wife's chicken, told her this is how she ordered it so it was essentially her fault, and then asked if we wanted it back. After he had eaten off her plate!

We didn't take the eaten chicken back and they took 50% off of our check.  I'm not sure why they could do that and not just bring out a piece of plain chicken, but these people clearly don't know how to run a restaurant.

We're always trying to support small local businesses when we go to Bluefield, but next time we visit I'd rather give my money to disgusting Applebee's than eat here again.

Me being Italian, I've yet to find an italian restaurant that I don't enjoy For the most part the server's are friendly and the food is amazing. The chicken alfredo is the dish I always seem to go for. Wish Bluefield or Princeton had an Olive Garden, but I'll settle for this as my 2nd favorite.

Just ate here the other night. Although we kinda got the crappy seating next to the kitchen we are usually happy with the cleanliness and service here. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, while being patient with us and the kids.

The restrooms were clean and well stocked.

Our personal favorite specialty of this restaurant is the sweet potato fries but ask for the special sauce because it automatically comes with the honey mustard. They will charge you $1.50 for two cups of it but for us it's well worth it!
