good ole American food. Â we had eggs and hash browns for breakfast. Â coffee served in a thermos, and left at the table. Â $12 for two people.
we didnt eat lunch or dinner here, but it looks like they have buffet service. Â Probably a good place to hang out when the roads are closed for snow or wind.
We were driving from Montana to Colorado, and decided to stop for dinner. Â In a tiny town I did not have high hopes of finding a good spot, and tried Yelp. Â Unfortunately, none of the restaurants near here have good ratings, so ultimately we went here on a whim. Â
If this was in a big city, then this would be a 2.5-3 star, but I personally take location into account, because the whole concept of Yelp is I want to eat somewhere nearby, right? Â Well if you're near Vimbo's than EAT HERE!! Â
I ordered the Dusty Boots Baron of Beef and it was quite good. Â The meat was maybe a touch dry, but it doesn't matter much when you have au jus to dip in! Â The bacon is a nice touch to the french dip sandwich. Â They also do something any self-respecting diner should: Â they know how to fry stuff. Â nice crispy fries and other appetizers without being greasy. Â We had a 8 person table with 3 small kids and came right after a 20 something party next to us. Â We still had fantastic service, and everyone including children were very satisfied with our meal. Â
If you're in Wheatland--this is the place to go. Â Worth seeking out? no...
Like Chris M. said, "This place will do if you don't want fast food."  Nothing bad, nothing great.  Friendly service.  My kids liked the burrito, burger & fries. I had burger with sweet potato fries & chipolte. It was ok. Lots of ketchup needed  Wood paneling. Country Western music. Gift shop.
Review Source:The local postal clerk told me that this was the best place to eat in Wheatland. Â Though my expectations weren't high (it has that tired and dreary rural only-restaurant-in-town feel), I was pleasantly surprised. Â The broasted chicken was very good, and they even had a couple of good beers.
