I was craving pizza. Really craving. Not going to make it another day without pizza. But I didn't want the usual delivery chain that serves my part of town. Then I remembered Vuocolo's! I called and ordered a small pizza with mushrooms. The nice man said it would be ready in 15 minutes. It came out of the oven moments after I arrived to pick it up, and it was all I could do not to eat it in the car on the way home.
So, it was a hand tossed thin crust that was bumpy and flavorful. Crunchy and chewy. And there was a respectable amount of tomato sauce, cheese and mushrooms - balance of toppings. It was sooo good. I ate the whole thing, and I didn't even feel guilty because it was yummy and I was supporting local business.
I have seen & smelled but not tasted the lasagna, and I would recommend it solely from the smell.
Recently moved further outside town where there aren't many restaurants. Â
After passing by this restaurant's small store front (actually a renovated cottage house) and seeing a steady flow of business I decided to give it a shot. Â Don't let the mismatched tables & chairs scare you away. Â
I had a meatball sandwich on homemade bread. Â It was good. Â It would have been great if the filling matched the size of the bread but it felt like there was a lot of "empty", dry bread. Â They might need to make the rolls smaller. Â
The cheesecake was good though it was a frozen, supermarket-bought "Cheesecake Factory" cheesecake. Â Will try the pizza soon and report back!
