If you follow my reviews at all then by now you know I LOVE the House of Waffles!!! Hell I even have a List for all the WH's I've hit across this great state.
This is my latest stop back on February 11, 2013...this Beacon of all things Breakfast is located between Monroe and Bastrop, LA.
Stopped in just after 12 noon and it was me and maybe 3 other patrons in the place...(Side note: Why does the WH seem to attract that one socially awkward guy/loner that spends all his time trying to hit on the waitresses...shut up and let me enjoy my feast in peace)
I went with the usual...3 eggs scrambled, hasbrowns (scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, capped and Country'd), side of sausage and toast, black coffee and glass of water!!! Another great way to enjoy the above is with 3 eggs over easy to medium with the eggs laid on top of the hasbrowns then gravy laid over everything...Keep it in mind...
The girls on duty were friendly and efficient and tolerant (see above note on socially awkward guy)...the cook handled business and the meal as expected was right on and delicious!!!
Other than the WH in Sorrento, service has always been fast and the order spot on with no issues...other than the food this is one of the things I love about WH's you know what you're gonna get when you step in the door and no matter where in this great state I've stepped into one it has never disappointed and has always left me feeling full and satisfied!!
Another side note, I gotta remember to take a picture of the glorious meal I described above but can just never seem to wait that long before diving in face first!!
Per usual this place is clean and well kept and the bathrooms are as well...So if you're north of Monroe heading to Bastrop (don't know why you would be but if you are) and have a hunger on, swing in and enjoy!!
