  Holy Cow!  Or should I say "Holy Pork Butt!" :-)
  
  I was on a day trip with my family last Friday and we found ourselves in Hamilton and we stumbled upon Wenzel's ... we walked into a little slice of heaven!  
  
  When we started to look at the deli menu on the counter, the proprietor could tell we'd never been there and announced with a huge smile "Today is Pork Butt Friday, there's no need to look at that menu" :-)  
  
  We looked around, and sure enough, EVERYONE else in there was eating a pork butt sandwich, so we ordered 4 (3 mild and a spicy one for me) ... and we all LOVED it ... FANTASTIC!!!
  
  We shall return!  (and I know what I'm getting for my Dad for Christmas)

  Wonderful! Their sausage is so flavorful. My friends (Bill & Janet) bring their deer meat here to be processed into hand-made, tasty sausage. We had some of Wenzel's sausage, as part of our breakfast one morning, and let me just say that this ain't your store-bought generic stuff. The sausage here is savory, hearty and nicely balanced, with pepper, sage and Wenzel's other choice seasonings. I watched as they prepared more sausage on-site. The REAL DEAL!
  
  C'mon into town and check this spot out. The deli has wonderful offerings, ranging from pork butt sandwiches to pickled pigs lips to cheeses to apple butter to choice cuts of bison. Don't forget, Deer... Y'all check in around back!

  Whenever I'm in Hamilton I always try and pickup some bison burgers to take home and cook on the grill. I'm a big guy and one of those fills me up for the day. Also there is no better reward for running the Hamilton 5k then one of their awesome pork butt sandwiches. It is a bit off the main road, but all the good places are. Just go to the north east corner of the square (the one w/o the light) and go north and it is on your left .

  Off the main drag, I discovered Wenzels recently and I'm still infatuated. From Bison Burgers to Pork Butt Sandwiches to Smoked Cheese - this place screams Texas - and the owners are as down home and friendly as they come. I highly recommend paying a visit!
