I really liked the bar tender, Cindy. She was great! Let us taste all the brews. Very nice and inviting. The place was empty when we were there. The bathrooms are very stinky and gross! They need to improve that! With no business they should be able too improve the bathrooms. Air Freshener. Clean! I hate when good places fail because they could improve. Get it together Western Pacific Brewing! You could have a gold mine!
Review Source:The Las Plumas Class of 72 held our 40th Reunion Meet and Greet on Friday, August 3rd, 2012 at Western Pacific Brewing Company. Â I can not complement them enough for the great service, hospitality, food and prices!!! Â We had lovely seating outdoors, with misters, all to ourselves so we could visit, eat and get reacquainted. Â Deloyce Corona was so helpful when I called to arrange the event and continued all through the evening! Â I had their Oatmeal Stout and it was glorious and the chicken wrap had nice chunks of avocado.... wonderful!
If you have an event, call Western Pacific Brewing and ask for Deloyce!!!! Â Thank you!!!
My fiance and I went into their newly opened steakhouse last March for our anniversary. We homebrew, and I am glad to say that they have a best local microbrew! We tried their oatmeal stout and Irish red with dinner, on par with the best. The food was seasoned and presented perfectly, and all the soup and sauces were from scratch. The only downer was that our waitress really didn't know much about beer.
It's more like 2.5 '$' ratings, but SO well worth it! And the beer is pretty cheap for a pint. I want reservations for next year.
Well, if you have to feed a large group of people...skip this place! After my son's graduation from NLC, several families headed over to Western Pacific Brewing for dinner. They had a SPECIAL just for the graduates and their families. But they were ill prepared for everyone. Not enough food, or staff on hand. Portions were ridiculously small and over priced. $13 for an entree of MAC n CHEESE! We could not get a drink
from the bar for over an hour! Â Baked potatoes came naked...they ran out of everything but butter. Soup was cold. Coffee was cold. Gee...where should I stop???
Brewpub located in an old train station. Â The feel makes it all about the beer. They have a large wrap around bar and the sweetest bartender. Â We tried their sampler:
Belden Golden Ale
Pulga Pale Ale Â
Keddie Red Ale Â
Chilcoot IPA Â
844" Oatmeal Stout Â
German Ale Â
The beers were good and I appreciated them wanting to talk about the beer. So many breweries just serve the beer and walk away. The brewer even came out to see how we were. The Stout, Red, and Golden Ale were my favorites. Â This place just has a great feel.
Love the beer and lounge. Friendly bartenders. Â I come here often and I would say that the Beer is the main reason why. Â They have a full bar, plus bottled beer that isn't their own in case you're a Coors or Bud kind of person. Â
The Bathrooms are run down, but are supposed to look really nice. Â The lounge itself could use an update too, but honestly its charm grows on you after a little while. Â
Six beers on tap and they're all pretty good. Â
As far as eating here goes, I think this show would be  a great candidate for Gordon Ramsey's "Kitchen Nightmares".  At least it could use a fresh new look, cleaned kitchen, and brand new menu. Â
Everytime I've ate here I regret it. Â No matter what I've ordered, something always tastes wrong. Â Stuff from the deep fryer especially tastes like soap.
Locally made, delicous fabulous brews! Â What a gem of place and here it is in Oroville! Â The micro brew equals and surpasses other more popular ones! Â The building has kept the feel of the old historic train station. Â
The prices are reasonable, the service is super! Â I shall return!
The beer is surprisingly excellent. I have never found a reason to complain about the service as they are top notch. But the food has only gone downhill from mediocre before the brewery took over. The salad bar is always fresh and stocked and the soups are usually great. So you can eat lighter and save room for the beer
Review Source:Oroville lacks many high quality restaurants, unfortunately, it still does. The beer selection is very good. They serve some excellent micro brews and have attentive servers. The food is lacking though. The menu is limited and overpriced for what you get. I had prime rib, and it was mediocre. Baked potato only came with sour cream, and the vegetables were undercooked. For 22 dollars, I expect better. The next highest price on the menu was steak and lobster for 45 dollars. Quite a jump in price. We had bananas foster for desert. Sugary chocolate syrup, some banana pieces, and ice cream. It was more of a soup. This was just plain awful.
Maybe next time I'll just visit the bar and skip dinner.
This was a great place! Â We sampled but two beers, and they were great! Â The IPA was the best I've ever had! Â The sandwiches were rather blah. Â The staff was quite friendly. Â The pub gear on sale is good quality. Â We were in the bar area only and did not see the restaurant section. Â I agree with the writer who wondered why the place was not packed.
Review Source:The food was ok. The service was horrible. I recommend you don't go there. It will dissapoint you. We ordered the fish and chips. The fish was frozen bag kind. The fries were frozen bag kind too. Â We also had a french dip. It was cheap roast beef on a stale french roll and powder au jus. The food was'nt the worst of it. The service was terrible the food was cold the waitress pretty much took our order dropped off our food and we never saw her again. we had to get up for our drink refills, to go boxs and check there was other emplyee's but they were to busy being social than to do their job. The food was high for being all frozen sysco food. The waitresses that I saw were train wrecks fits an old train station.
Review Source:Lovely brewhouse in an old train station. Â They offer 5 or 6 locally brewed beers, and typical american brewpub food. Â Both the beer and food was good, perhaps even very good, (but not spectacular). Â I loved the feel of the place with its brick fireplace, fishtanks, and large bar. Â It looked like there was a larger dining and banquet room as well as outdoor seating too.
We will definitely go back again next time we're due for a pit stop in Oroville.
