Whiskey River

This is the WORST bar ever. HORRIBLE. The smoke in there will choke even the hardcore smoker. I have never, ever been in any bar this smoky. Not a bit of ventilation at all. There is a TON of underage drinking going on despite the "Security" staff. (One must only be 18 to go in here.) I really don't know how this place has stayed open. The owner must be related to someone on the police force or something! The woman at the door does NOT check everyone's ID, and I know that for a fact. There is no liquor or wine sold at the bar. You have to go to the attached liquor store at the front of the building to buy, bring in, and pour your own. Of course, you have to buy the mixers from the bar. Forget leaving there and going to another bar in the area. This bar is between a chicken factory and a prison. Oh, and the sign on the door doesn't warn of underage drinking; no, it states "If you get in a fight, you will go to jail." What does that say about the regular clientele? Furthermore, the DJ only has a repetoire that caters to the children in the bar. ONLY rap is what he plays all night. If you are over 30, you can forget about any music that you might know or care for. This was a learning experience, for sure. I learned that I'll never, ever go back. Um, one nice thing to say about this bar? It has a good lighting system and a nice big dance floor, but for the girls that frequent there, it really needs a pole.
