The atmosphere of this little cafe is surprising, since it's in a run-down old adobe building on a depopulated street. It's well decorated inside, and some calm classical music was playing. There are books and newspapers to borrow and read. Their menu has maybe 5 items on it at any one time, but if you KNOW you want a scone or a fritatta, it's worth going. Inexpensive food, fast and friendly service. The only downside is that the place is shut from Memorial Day to Labor Day, just when anyone is ever traveling in the direction of T or C. The whole town is hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk in the summer so I don't blame the proprietors of this little place for not wanting to be cooking and serving food.
Review Source:Phooey and the person who came in and thought he was so precious that his need of leaving in twenty minutes demanded that they have their service before us (we had arrived a good seven minutes before them) and phooey to the owners who appeased their precious need. Â That aside, the coffee is great , the scone was somewhat dry but delicious, and I am still waiting for my frittata to arrive, thanks to the SPECIAL person before me. That being said the food was delicious.
Review Source:A comfortable little hippie cafe in the town of hot springs. It's got a serve yourself coffee and water station, and a selection of breakfast dishes to choose from. It does not have a nuevo Mexico flair, but the food is good.
I enjoyed the quiche, which is a a signature dish.
Friendly service and filled with locals, at least when I was there in their tourist "off" season. I imagine in the summer this place is poppin'.
My first time at the White Coyote Cafe and all I can say is YUMMMMM!!! Â First off Amazing Organic French Roast coffee, Fantastic spinach and feta quiche with a lovely side salad, and Out-Of-This-World Lemon custard French Toast with a garnish of fruit and Real maple syrup! Â They are open Fri- Mon 8am-2pm. Â Prices for a breakfast range from $4- 6.50. Â Very welcoming atmosphere and is ran by two very nice young ladies!! Thanks for my great dining experience and a happy belly!
Review Source:An amazing cozy breakfast place run by two wonderful old ladies - Enunice and Moe - they have the most killer scones, quiches and fritatas. They also have daily specials and soups. The quality of the food is comparable to a great breakfast place you would find in a trendy neighborhood in NYC or SF!
The coffee is out of this world.
They are open from Friday-Monday 8AM - 2PM, Fall, Winter and Spring. Closed in the summer around July, August.
