  We love the White House Saloon.
  When we camp in Cal City, we always plan on a ride to Randsburg.
  It's a good place to get a burger and fries and a cold drink.
  We have always been satisfied with the food, and it's just a really cool old place to take a break and relax for a while before our ride back to camp.
  Prices are a little high and there's not too much selection for meals, but it's still all good.  Next trip, I will try their chili which looked really good.
  They accept CASH ONLY, so I would say that's the only real negative for me, as I mainly carry plastic, so plan on having cash when you get there.

  The White House Saloon is a great place to knock the dust out of your throat or warm up on a cold day.  Sure the food sucks, but if you came for a gourmet meal your doing it wrong.  I've always found the bartenders to be friendly, if not overly talkative.

  I have wanted to have lunch here for a long time and I was incredibly disappointed when we finally made it.  The staff was very unfriendly and the obnoxious signage around the inside made you feel even more unwelcome.
  
  The menu is small and simple, basically hot dogs, hamburgers and chili.  The menu does state that they won't make a grilled cheese. Ummm, okay???  Since that's what I wanted because nothing was appealing by the looks of the place I was kind of screwed. I settled on chili cheese fries since a Yelp review said the chili wasn't too bad. Wrong, the chili was super bland and gross.  My son said his burger wasn't good, but my husband and other son said the hot dogs weren't too bad.
  
  No way will we be back.  FYI, cash only.

  The portions are pathetic for the price. $7.50 for a cheese burger and fries. The burger was so thin that I couldn't even tell there was any meat while eating. The Pastrami sandwich was $6, and served on a hot dog bun. This place is a joke, and only here to rip you off.

  Its crowded with motorheads but I didnt mind.
  Dennis one of the bartenders is the sweetest man ever.. got drunk with him on new years eve and he showed me how to play pool. super awesome.

  Not many food options (especially for vegetarians-- there's a pizza place near by though). But I still love the saloon for it's charm, good company and childhood memories.

  The food sucks but their margaritas are pretty good and love the fact that this is a real old mining town-est.1895!

  This place is really cool if you're into the whole history of the Gold Rush (which I definately am).
  
  The only reason to eat here is to say "I ate there". The service blows do mainly to the unhappy & unfriendly staff. The burgers suck... it consists of a well done, dry McDonalds .99 burger patty on an oversized bun. But the worst part is that it costs almost $6. The chili is decent and so are the hot dogs.
  
  Definately worth checking out and eating here once. If I come back again, I'll be munching on the turkey sandwich I brought and save my money.
  
  PS to the previous reviewer... Olga is not the owner. She owns the bar down the street called The Joint.

  This is real saloon out in the middle of nowhere.  We ride about 20 miles in the dirt on our motorcycles to get here. Then you come to the only road in town and ride right into town.  Down the main drag.  Big weekends you get 300 or so motorcycles converge on this little street.  Its a blast to see that many dirt bikes. People get lunch or beers or ice creams and then ride back.  Its a blast.   The owner whos name is Olga is about 98-100 years old.  Not exagerating.  The beer temp could be better but its beer and after 20 miles on the seat,  that beer hits the spot.  Rule:  No cussing.  Seriously.  She wont tolerate and she will ask you to leave.  Gotta love that.  Go check it out.  PS, ride red
