I'm a local that does not eat here much. Last year my wife and I went here on the advice of friends. We were not impressed. The burgers are mediocre and expensive, the atmosphere is great and a great place for families. On an invitation from friends we once again went there last night. Same unimpressive food. I guess they only care about the one shot tourist who after a day on the river is too hungry to notice the food.

Good selection of beer, very nice barbeque and potato salad. They also serve funnel cake fries - who doesn't like those? The outdoor patio was great to hang out at.

A great place to grab something to eat after you finished rafting. Large indoor & outdoor area.  Volleyball courts, shaded & sunny tables.
    Superb service!!
Decent food for a bar & grill.

We ate lunch here after taking a zipline tour from the folks next door at Royal Gorge Zipline Tours.  The brisket sandwiches (that were highly recommended by our guide) were delicious! Saucy and stuffed! The sandwiches came with a choice of curly fries, potato salad or baked beans. They were all very tasty! The fries were crisp and hot, the potato salad was better than average. The potatoes were soft, yet firm and flavorful. The beans had more brisket than beans, but were quite good. We also paid a little extra to have their batter fried jalapeno's...what a kick!

You definitely get your money's worth and won't go away hungry. The draft beers were cold and good sized too! The staff was attentive and friendly.

This was THE perfect ending to a great day on the river!  The weather was warm, a breeze was up, the sun was setting, the beer was served in big mason jars!  The back "patio" had the feeling of hanging out at someone's backyard BBQ.  There's a volleyball court, horseshoes, ladder golf and a kids' play area.

The BBQ sandwich was tender, but could use more sauce, for my tastes.  The fried pickles were great, and they had a decent beer selection.

Really, the best part was the ambience.  Reminded me of some of the beach resorts in Baja.  After a day on the water, what more could you want?  Awesome place!

    Pros: Booze, duh!
Cons: This place is located in BFE, on a notoriously police monitored highway, with cliffs on both sides at some parts. Not a good mixture.

This place is pretty cool, but needs to be located in a more central location. Well THATS not going to happen, so you pretty much need a DD to enjoy being here and not worrying about getting pulled over by officer FARVA on your way home! The CCPD sit in their cars and jerk it until they see an innocent looking car minding its own business drive by at what could be called a late part of the night.

I guess what the coolest part about White Water is they open the back half of the building up to the outside lounge area. So in the summer, its nice to have that open air. What sucks is they usually only have 1 or 2 bartenders behind the bar. And everybody hangs out up there, so trying to squeeze in the mass of has beens and never was's, while trying to flag down 1 of the 2 total bartenders to try to get a drink can really SUCK sometimes. And as soon as they serve you, they disappear again! I had to start double ordering everything just so I wouldn't have to wait 10 minutes to get another drink!

We came here after our rafting excursion at the Royal Gorge. I was really impressed with the back patio- they had beach volleyball, horseshoes, a stage for live music, and TONS of seating. They really need a place like this in Denver!

I had green chile fries. UGH stomach bomb. I can't say  I was a big fan of them.  However they serve their beers in mason jars..it's the little things in life that make me happy I guess.

Overall a great summertime hangout spot, very memorable patio!

White Water Bar & Grill was great.  We had amazing time after our rafting trip.

The food was incredible, service was great, the owner Ty was great he brought our large group samples of there signature foods and a ski shot for the group.

We had a great time playing volleyball, horseshoes, and hanging out outside.

Don't miss this great place on your trip to the Royal Gorge!

White Water Bar & Grill is a great place to stop when you get in town to go rafting.

Here's what we had and what I thought:

    Margaritas - damn good

Bloody Marys - REALLY spicy (and i like spicy BMs)

Wings - Not awesome at all, not really good either. Weak sauce and kinda rubbery

Colorado Bulldog - seriously delicious, perfectly made

Sweet Potato Fries - pretty good, I would order them again but they need some kick!

Service - average, these girls are busy, busy with lots of big groups

They have lots of outdoor space to play horse shoes and other games. Great single man band music. Cute/funny/inappropriate t-shirts to buy. Great fire to sit next to you when you're freezing after a cold trip on the Arkansas River.

    Will be back!!
