Can't wait to go!
OK, to be honest I haven't gone - yet! BUT before you flag this or slam this post, please listen to what I have to say about what I do know: the people there are amazing. They are graciously providing free food to the fire fighters & evacuees of this Yarnell fire. They are working their butts off, no profit, out of pocket, just to help - & they are so  happy to do so, patient & kind in addition to being so giving. I heard the great remarks about their food,  but it's so new I hadn't been out there to try, but really can't wait to go to eat there & to meet these wonderful people.
My hubby&I were in for lunch-approx 1:30PM. Was just us and 1 other customer. Ordered tuna salad sandwich&potato salad. Hubby ordered the cheeseburger&fries. Refills on my tea were not fast enough for me,I had to find someone. Hubby loved his burger,Angus I think. My homemade potato salad was not seasoned-loved the texture, but had to add salt&pepper for any flavor. A few "quotes" written on the walls was part of the decor. One from the class of the local high school has a misspelled word!!!! "anticipate" They put it up last Sept and its still wrong. Everything we ordered came as we asked for;server got it right. We might be back another time.
Review Source:I was in town visiting family and we decided to try this place since it had recently changed owners. Â We were greeted and seated immediately. Â There were not many people there when we arrived, but we were having an early dinner, and it did pick up before we left. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. Our food arrived in a very timely manner. I had a salad with grilled chicken..good portion size and chicken was great (and I am very picky about my chicken). Â My Dad had cod and said it was some of the best cod he had ever had. Â My Mom had shrimp scampi and said it was excellent. Â Portion was enough for two meals. Â The presentation was very impressive--not just a useless piece of garnish or two on the plate, but very professionally plated. Â My parents said they will definitely be eating there again.
Review Source:So brand new, the paint's barely dry on the walls! The Feed Company is a restaurant/steakhouse/grill/bar/hangout spot that I believe will become one of the go-to spots in Wickenburg.
FOOD:
-specials everyday of the week including Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday nights
-"grill" menu ranging from pork chops to chicken marsala to fried catfish to steak
-MORE than ample portions. I had enough for at least 2 meals.
-entrees come with veggie, potato and choice of soup or salad
-liquor license finally in
-order the special early on or be prepared for limited selection
-my medium-rare prime rib was more like medium-well
STAFF:
-well-staffed restaurant in terms of numbers. I appreciate that they have busboys (or whatever they call them now) to clean up dirty tables.
-owners are friendly and often there to listen to your suggestions and feedback
PRICE:
-expensive. Plates range from $12-30+ depending on your choice. For Wickenburg, that's really testing their limit. However, keep in mind that you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Other notables:
-they will eventually have a horseshoe pit out front
-has been dubbed "Where the Locals Drink Local" which I will be supporting after 5:00PM today.
-will have late-night grill menu available for your drunken perusal.
I will be sure to report back on these items and more :)
