We have been enjoying the food for quite some time. Â We especially like our waitress Bridget, she is super nice and gets our drinks ready as we walk in the door; she remembers or choices. Â
Unfortunately we found out that the dining room is closing, in fact, August 31st was the last night.  The closing puts many people out of work and in this economic times is unfair.  What is Bridget and the others suppose to do?  NOT FAIR!  :-(
Tina is apparently the most awesome waitress at this establishment. She works hard and hussels to make sure you get everything you need. She refills drinks without asking and she's got a great sense of humor.
I always get the gyro greek salad and substitute the gyro meat with chicken. The Salad is big but not shareable and it comes with pita bread.
Very bad Experience! I won't be wasting my time or money again. Â Took an hour to get our food only 4 tables in restaurant my food was Luke warm, Our sever was running around like he was totally overwhelmed. Maybe he was cooking our food too. He did manage to get us our second beer so that was nice. We had rush though our meal, when we finally got it. I had a french dip slider with onion rings. The meat had a lot of gristle in it for as small as it was, my onion rings where good as was the ranch.
Review Source:So last week, I had lunch with two yelpalicious yelparazzi at Winchell's. No, it's not what your thinking. Don't worry I thought the same thing too! Â Donuts for lunch? Are you for reals?! Apparently, the owner of the same company (Winchell's) also owns a pub/grill. Here's what I think of them!
Ambiance: 3/5
Very typical of most pubs & grills. Separated into 2 sections (bar & dining area), flatscreen tvs, bar stools, & video porker machines. Lighting is pretty limited, except in the dining area, there's an open glass window. Alot brighter compared to Big Dog's. Decent seats (tables, chairs, booths, etc.). There wasn't really any [theme] in the pub/grill that I recognized or caught my attention?! If there was, I didn't see it! Also, it was pretty barren when we went, not too many customers. Although, towards the end our lunch, slowly they picked up more customers. Ambiance = Dull!
Service: 4/5
The hostess/waitress was pretty attentive. Gave us lots of time to look at the menu, was honest about the (iced tea), promptly requested for our orders when needed, asked for refills, separated our bill, yadayadayada...then again, we were the only customers most of the time. (Did u guys notice her MULLET?!?) LOL. Service = Great
Food: 2/5
I ordered the country fried chicken dinner (see pics). Entree came with 3 pieces of crispy fried chicken (wing, thigh, & breast), though, I could tell it was fried preseasoned, frozen from a box. Chicken had lots of flavors, maybe a little too much, tad bit salty for my palate. It also came with two sides of mashed potatoes & gravy and steamed vegetables. Potatoes were rich, creamy, buttery, & Â SALTY!!! White country gravy was vibrant with flavors! S-A-L-T-Y! And the steamed veggies yes! SALTY as well! No wonder America has soo much heart problems and high blood pressure!!! Maybe it's cause everything was prepackaged, frozen, and either reheated or cooked, the SALT helps preserve the flavors! Still ate as much as i could tolerate, drank most my iced tea to replenish the taste! At the end, i had tons of left overs, although i didn't bother getting a box to go! Food = Failure
Overall: 3/5
I think our little pow wow was pretty successful! In terms of discussing future UYEs and a bunch of randomness! Â The food however sucked, but who cares when you're sitting with great company. Not sure if I'll back. Just because I've been to waay too many pubs and grills! This one doesn't really live up!
Unfortunately
it will be
added
to my
S.O.L.
list!
Had a Yelpacious UYE planning  luncheon or at least that was the plan though we talked 80% of the time about randomness.
I thought it was a nice spot but felt the other branches (like the Warm Springs one) was better in their food quality.
I had the Kentucky Gold Chicken sandwich which was a grilled chicken breast with cheese, bacon, fried onions and BBQ sauce and was served with fries.
My sandwich had good flavors, but a tad too well done chicken that it could have used more BBQ sauce to moisten it up. I just think our food sat on the pas I little too long so it was lukewarm, not hot.
On a random note, all the locations have different menus....still wondering why so? Franchises? Just keep that in mind in case you have a favorite dish at one Winchells, to check the menus online to see if others have it too.
I'm a fan of Winchells for bar food, but I don't think this is the favorite location.
New restaurant smell resides within. Â Clean and tidy, industrial style decor, and bar food. Â Good times.
I have been to other Winchell's locations around town, so we decided to meet up and give it a try. Â This is one of the newer (maybe newest) of the Winchell's Pub & Grill locations. Â The place was pretty dead when we arrived, we had the entire restaurant side of things to ourselves. Â The bar was a little noisy, and you could see there were people hanging out over there, so perhaps the HH brings the drinkers in after work? Â As we sat and checked out the menu, our waitperson was friendly, helpful, and patient. We received our drink order quickly, and placed the order.
Though the menu is smallish, there are a lot of tasty sounding vittles to be had. Â I went boring, and ordered the sliders (with homemade chips). Â Fellow Yelparazzi Jade W. and Elnino were along for the ride, and they ordered a chicken sandwich (not sure which one) and the fried chicken dinner, respectively.
Our food came out pretty quickly, though I would say it could have been a tad bit warmer (the chips were a bit cool, considering they were "freshly made"). My slider was pretty tasty, though the Slider Truck it ain't. Â Pretty good bar food is how I would describe this place, and inexpensive (my food plus drink and tip was less than $12). Also, as our time here progressed, the place started to get busy, particularly with law enforcement and military types (three separate tables were eating when we left).
Overall, this isn't my favorite Winchell's, but it was good enough that I'd go back... definitely for late-night bar food fare.
