After 5 years away from the Brattleboro area, I was very pleased to return and find that this terrific little wine store had opened. Â 'Little' is just meant in the endearing sense, because the stock is varied (wine is arranged by country) and thorough. Â The prices are very fair - especially to this New Yorker - and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Â While there's a selection of wine at the Co-op, and an increasingly sad and declining selection at DiscoBev, I'm very glad there's a fine and dedicated wine shop right in town.
Review Source:This is where I buy all of my wine in Vermont because the owners Marty and Frank really know wine. Â They have traveled to wine regions all over the world and can dish with you about Bordeaux in France or Boyden Valley Winery in Vermont. Â They do great wine tastings here on Saturdays in their Wine Gallery space (which is next door to the Wine shop). Â This is also a great space for an event or party. Â I did a business meeting here to rave reviews. Â The private/event space has great views of the river. Â It's right in downtown Brattleboro. Â Park on Flat Street and just walk over. Â Whether you are looking for a special bottle or a value wine, you'll find both with warm and welcoming VT hospitality.
Review Source:If you like wine this is the place to go. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and will remember your name. They have a small but good beer selection as well. If you are looking for good but cheap wine, they sell Tisdale for under $4. They also have a marvelous selection of more expensive wines.
Next door is the wine bar which is well designed, relaxing and upscale. They have occasional wine tasting events and it's just a generally nice place to visit.
