Rich, gourmet food.  Takes awhile to come but worth the wait.  Def recommend the pizza, then sandwich, then pasta.  Bit pricey but delicious!

A really great place and with Juan (of Don Juan's Grill on South St) as the new owner, it's better than ever. Excellent wine selection, great atmosphere, super awesome, really nice servers, and yummy food.

Some of my favorite eats are the ahi salad (perfectly rare), the mac and cheese (gooey, cheesy, crunchy on the top deliciousness), garlic flatbread pizzas (all of them are awesome by the way but rosemary chicken is my fav), the stuffed dates (savory bleu cheese, sweet dates, with salty bacon OMG!), and they're grilled cheeses (they put garlic on the bread when it's grilled - a REAL grilled cheese).

Okay, so maybe the entire menu consists of my favorite things to eat here! :)

What a gem to find.  The lunch menu is very limited but what we chose was excellent.  We shared the rosemary, chicken pizza (which is really for one person) and the chef made the spinach salad for us with lettuce instead of the spinach.  It has blue cheese crumbles, cranberries and walnuts and the balsamic dressing was wonderful.

The staff were very pleasant.  The ambience is one of beauty, artistic, relaxing and quiet (of course we weren't there during a happy hour).  The women's restroom was beautiful with artwork, lovely liquid soap and a new kind of faucet.

New owners apparently, this place went downhill... I went a few months ago and was disappointed they no longer do the wine flights. You can get four wine "tastes" now but it isn't the same experience.

We got a cheese platter which was good, since how hard is it to mess that up...but I got an ahi tuna salad which was inedible, cooked unevenly and mushy. My coworker had pasta which was boiled to long and again was mushy.

I doubt I will be back unless they revamp things a bit and can keep their staff since apparently there has been high turnover.

Very disappointed, this was a nice little gem in Tehachapi.

Nice atmosphere but for a wine bar, I would think they would have more of a selection for wine by the glass. The cheese platter was pretty good. Just wish there was more of a selection for the wine by the glass. Not sure if we would return or not. The food menu did look pretty good but we only had the cheese platter.

New Owners!     Everything is so much better than previous visits.  Love this place now.  Everything about this place is awesome!  If you don't experience the Wine & Cheese Cellar you are Missing out!  Wine selections are wonderful, food is so tasty and a really nice change from other restaurants.  Great Service.  Very comfortable ambience.

This little gem is a wonderful place to stop for a taste, a glass or a bottle! The new owners are over the top happy to assist and very knowledgable about their products which change every Sunday night btw... I dont get a chance to go often enough but is a place one can go alone without feeling alone which is awesome.... very unpretencious. The food what I have had so far is wonderful and I send all my out of town customers there and they claim their food was also grand! Dont miss this stop in your travels!

This place is the bomb!! The owners are amazing, for the life of me I can't remember her name. My mom, sister & I always make a point to stop when we are passing through town. We usually order a whole bunch of appetizers AND a whole bunch of wine!! The spinach salad yummo! If you tell the chef what kind of cheese you prefer they top your pizza w/ it. Our favorite Goat cheese!! I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Always lovely live music playing (we have only been on Saturday's)..

    See you again soon!!!

I have been here several times with a group of girls and we really like the classy atmosphere and good wine, the place however is too small for live music and therefore we are always yelling to one another. The food is always excellent and served fairly quick. The staff is friendly, but not overly entertaining or really helpful when picking out wines. Prices are fair when you get a bottle to share or flights of wine to sample. Wish they had more of a selection to sample sometimes.. Overall we like this place.

Love this place.  They have a well represented selection of wines and some of the best from the Napa Valley.  I became a wine club member after my first visit nearly 5 months ago and it has been so worth it.   The food is also amazing with Chef Travis creating some unforgettable meals.   Try the stuffed dates!

Visited this great little spot for a Graveyard Vineyards wine tasting and it was way fun.  The clientele is ethnically and culturaly diverse and interesting.         I would definately recommend a vist.

I've been to Wine and Cheese Cellar twice.

The first time was one a date night with my husband. It took over 10 minutes just to get a menu and the waiter just looked at us like we were in the wrong place and asks us (seriously) "So ...(long pause)...do you guys wanna glass of wine, or what?"

..ummmm it is the WINE and cheese cellar, right? So we order our wine-which took another 20 minutes to show up. I'm not kidding, I took out my watch and timed it. We never ordered any food because the waiter NEVER came back. We put money on the table for the wine and just left.

The second time I was in, was with a friend who was picking up her "Wine Club" order. They have a wine shop up front and, while we were waiting for her case of vino to come out from the back of the shop, I had picked up 2 bottles of wine and asked for a six ouce piece of cheese from the cooler. The Owner looks at me and says brusquely "Do you want this to go, or what?"...it was 10:30am! Yeah, Skippy, I'm gonna sit in your empty dining room and down a chunck of cheese and 2 bottles of Napa Vally Old Vine Zin all by myself!

The prices are high, and the service is atrocious! Skip it and just buy your wine (and cheese) at the Albertson's next door, and take it home where you are guarenteed decent service and reasonable prices.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!

My husband and I came here one time for dinner. The wine was delicious, the cheese and warm bread were amazing! our dinner entrees were a little overpriced for what we ordered, but I would definately go back and eat here again. It also had a great atmosphere for a date and the server(owner) was super knowledgable about her wines, cheeses and any other questions we had.

We brought in a medium-sized group for some wine tasting. The flights were good, the atmosphere was lounge-like & relaxed, and the acoutrements were delish! Had some good coaching from the sommeliers also. Additionally, they have some pretty fun monthly events- so get on their mailing list!

Anyways, this place is a breath of fresh air for the usual Tehachapi scene and whether you're just buying a bottle to bring home or staying a while to enjoy, it's nice to have an alternative to Albertson's for wine.

Came here searching for a place to eat lunch on a trip to visit my dad and he had said it was good when he came so over the hill from bear valley we went.. and boy was he rightttt!!! I was suppperrrrr happy with EVERYTHING.. and im not kidding. From the outside it was a little like.. umm ok lets go.. but this little gem EASILYYYY belongs in temecula or other wine countries.. I went with the Cab and it was yum.. my sister who isnt a red drinker even liked it. She got the muscat which im not usually a huge fan of since its usually WAY too sweet but it was good.. nice and sweet but not too sweet. We couldnt decide on any one dish so we got the Caprese Pizza I guess its on maybe foccacia bread or something thin and toasty it was perfect.. not too cheezy and flavorful yum.. easily could be a meal or split with someone else.. we got the veggie wrap.. split into 3rds classic veggir wrap with sprouts avocado the whole deal and it was good too.. fresh and flavorful and served with cole slaw which usually im NOTTTT a fan of AT ALL..but it wasnt like creamy coleslaw with all this mayo it was light and delish id get it again as a side alone lol.. and lastly.. we got the cheese plate..oh that cheese plate lol.. The way they do it is a little odd but nice because you get what you like. So the price was for just the plate which included bread (delish and toasty), grapes (fresh in season little grapes) olives (yummmmm!!) and an olive oil spread (which we hardly touched because everything else was TOOO good! THENNN you go to the cheese cooler and pick what cheese you want.. you pick the wedge size and theyre pre-priced and thats added to the plate price.. we got the gruyere which was MM MM MMM.. cheese goodness.. with the olives.. oh man lol.. and we got this mustard seed white cheddar which was easily the winner and i put some on my veggie wrap too and that took the cake in goodness.. also I was eyeing this mango ginger infused spread but my sister who is a little more "I like sliced cheese" than "may i please get the smoked gouda.." was against it.. I think the guy noticed I wanted to try it because he gave us some of that too and what do you know.. she liked it too lol.. it was delish..

Moral of the story dont judge a tehachepi wine bar by its cover lol.. this place will be my must stop place from now on!

We have stopped in for lunch twice and it has been great.  Both food and wine are excellent.  The last time we were in we had the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with walnuts and blue cheese.  They were served warm with tart apples and were totally sublime.  The wines we had were recommended by the owner and were also excellent.  Highly recommend if you are in the Tehachapi area.

This is my favorite place to have a nice date with my husband or have a girls night with my mother in law.  I love their different selection of cheeses and their taste in wine is magnificent!  You cannot go wrong if you are looking for great food and an amazing atmosphere.

Fantastic wine bar. Very nice decor.  Serves food.  Owned by a nice couple.  Sat and talked with the owner for quite awhile.  They have events planned during the week for live music, singles, etc...  Best wine bar this side of Los Angeles.
