What a nice place! When I've gone, it's been a really great place to hang out, with no pretense. It feels as if it's a safe and warm environment, compared to other places (eg downtown). The bartender... Britney I think her name was, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, and found some perfect ones for me!
Definitely will be back!
This place is cute. I like all of the local wine and beers they feature. Decor is minimal, but very clean. I love the chairs surrounding the fireplace. I went with a group of friends on a Friday evening. It wasn't too packed. It was definitely a more mature crowd, which was good because the college kids can go to all other places that don't card.
Overall, this is a great place to grab a drink or two after dinner!
They have wine on tap! On tap!
Good local wines, nice selection of beers and the decor is cool and laid back. Either hang out at the bar or kick it on the tables by the fireplace. Nice place. Older crowd so no crazy college students.
I just wish they had a better food selection. Don't they know drinking makes people hungry?!
Great wines! I love that they are on tap. I can go in (I live close by) and have a glass of wine and a pretty good thin pizza.
Pros: great wines on tap, some beers, and the food that they do have is great.
CONS: I consider them to be pretty big cons. There isnt a large (or even medium) selection of food. So dont go if you're HUNGRY. Its only good for snacking. There is nothing sweet on the menu, so you cant have a dessert with your wine. Its "cold" feeling in there. Lots of aluminum color in there and its not a place I would go do get cozy by the fire or relax. I would go with a group of friends that I need to catch up with.
So, again, yummy food (what there is of it) and great wine.
I've been to the wine shed a couple of times now and thought I would write a review on here. Â Ive had some of their wines from the tap and also some craft beers. Â The thing I noticed about the wine was that it was served to me at the perfect temperature in a very fancy wine glass which made it taste extra good. Â As for the beer, the nice bartender recommended a light belgian style from Chicago. Â She said it was hard to get out here which intrigued my interest of it. Â Thought it was cool they were getting other types of wine and beer that were not just local.
The place has a pretty cool vibe going on.  Reminds me of a little neighborhood bar.  I liked the fact they had sports on both of their tvs when i've been there.  I think they had pandora playing instead of the tv sound.  The giants were on and it was fun to  talk with some of the other people sitting at the bar about the game.  I've also been there on a friday night and they had an acoustic guitar player set up in the corner!  I really like live music and I was impressed with what the guy was playing.  The place was pretty crowded and everyone seemed like they were having a great time while he was playing in the background. Â
The inside is very industrial modern looking with metal bar stools and butcher block tables. Â They even have a cozy fireplace under one of the tvs. Â Anyways, I will definitely be back. Â A very friendly place to go to and have a drink.
