I read the various reviews and decided to try the place out since the locals like and frequent the place. Â Â I had the drunken steak and it was delicious and cooked medium rare as I ordered. Â The french fries were crisp and hot. Â Had acouple of beers since I ate at the bar and they were nice and cold. Â I don't what the other people found not to their liing but I will be back.
Review Source:My husband and I pulled in here because #1 we were hungry and #2 the traffic was tied up! LOL..very casual place. The staff was so nice and wonderful. Nice and cool (it was hot out) I had the scallop basket. Im picky about french fries, but these fries were delicious! crispy and hot..I would go back just for the fries. Â the scallops were sweet and crispy. My mouth is watering just typing this! LOL...the hubby had the egg plant parm. and he had to take part of it home. Huge portion and delicious he said. There menu has a small variety to choose from. Â Our server was fantastic..The cooks came out and said hello as we were leaving..We will definatly go again that's for sure!
Review Source:My wife and I ate here on Memorial Day weekend of 2013. Â A couple of other reviewers used the word "awkward" for this place, and I think that word fits it very well. Â The menu seemed rather overpriced for what you get. Â I got their basic burger (which was $11 with cheese), my wife got the veggie quesadilla. Â The burger itself was okay, but nothing to write home about, the fries were undercooked and mushy. Â What didn't help was that the server didn't write down our order (which drives me NUTS!) and instead of getting just lettuce on my burger (which is all I wanted), my burger came with no vegetables at all. Â My wife said the veggie quesadilla had good flavor, but a pretty bad aftertaste. Â Not sure if some herb or spice caused that, but it was not a desirable effect of the meal.
Our table had old wooden benches that we sat on which were most uncomfortable, plus we could see cobwebs in the windows from where we were sitting. Â This restaurant could be something good, but it's really not there. Â There are much better options (including the Muddy Moose right nearby).
The place is a bit awkward and it seems more like a bar than a restaurant. However, I gotta say that the chicken sandwich and their burgers have been pretty good. The french fries and sweet potato fries were on the poor side of quality though.
There are MUCH better options in the area if you aren't a local and are just up for a day or a weekend. But if you are a local, it's worth a shot.
We had the clam chowder, which was great!
Then we both had the burgers which where very well made, wen went at 5:00pm on a Wednesday. Not packed at all, I think we might have gone at a non peak hour. There was only 2 bartenders there, one took care of us  the other tended the bar. The place was full with the regular locals and not many tourists like ourselves. Overall a good experience.
We stopped in today mainly because I thought the name was silly, but were very pleasantly surprised. There were a few people in the bar part, but the restaurant was empty at 5 on a Friday. My mom had the drunken steak, and I had the pork rib eye. They were both super reasonably priced, well cooked, and had delicious sauces. The veggies on the side were bright and well cooked (hadn't gotten mushy), and the service was good. I would definitely recommend checking it out!
Review Source:Went here last night with a cousin and my sister, at my cousin's request.
Nice looking place. Â Parking can get tight.
Had the Veggie Lasagna and a small caesar salad with a diet pepsi. Â It was pretty good. Â Tasty sauce with the grilled veggies which were then baked into the lasagna.
Service was occasionally slow, but it appeared our waitress was pretty busy, so maybe that's ok.
Prices were reasonable.
Worth a look and another visit when I'm back in town.
Pretty middle-of-the-road in every sense. Â The atmosphere was a little awkward, but it was midday and clearly this is a nighttime spot. Â The food wasn't blowing anyone's mind, and the portion sizes for two similarly sized items were wildly different, but no biggie.
I don't know if I'd seek it out again, but if you're in the area and want some pub food and maybe a beer, this place will work.
