Dined at Yadkin Valley Seafood on Sun. 8/12/2012. Â Service was excellent. Â Staff & owner were very nice & attentive. Â We had a party of 8. Â We tried fried baby flounder, Canadian flounder, regular flounder, white fish, perch & fried shrimp. Â Regular flounder was great, baby flounder, perch & shrimp were very good. Â Canadian flounder was not as good as the other items, but it was still good. Â The regualr flounder was crispy yet moist & flavorful inside. Â Other fish was cooked well - flakey & crispy. Â
The fries, slaw & hushpuppies were all fresh & tasty. Â I did get a side salad substitute for slaw & it was ok, nothing special. Â The dressing was good. Â
The wait staff & cooks were very helpful in regard to my son's food allergies (milk & eggs). Â They prepared him a special order of white fish with no milk or egg products. Â He loved it! Â We have eaten at restaurants that would not prepare special orders. Â We ate at a seafood restaurant in High Point that did not even know the ingredients in their fish/seafood batter. Â That is scary & certainly indicative of pre-made frozen food. Â It is such a pleasure to eat at a restaurant that will take the time to help a child enjoy one of their favorite foods. Â
If you are looking for good "fried" seafood in a family friendly atmosphere at an affordable price, you will enjoy eating here!
