Ye Olde Mill Street Pub

My husband ordered an appetizer but took one bite and did not like it.  He then called the waitress over to tell her he did not care for the app and would like to order something else.  She proceeded to leave it on our table and come back with the new order.   We ended up moving the dish to a tray that was setup next to our table.  When the bill arrived, the charges for both items were on it.  Really?  What decent establishment doesn't take the dish off the bill?  Since we sat there waiting for over 5min without seeing our waitress come back, my husband called another waiter over and explained to him what happened.  He said he would take care of it and return, he too never returned after 5min.  And the place was not busy, there were only 2 other parties there.   We went in here because it looked like a cool pub from the outside.  However, when you step inside, it is like going back in time to your grandmothers house.  I give this place a thumbs down.

apparently this place at one point was awesome, then crappy for a stretch, and now is awesome again.

i've been there several times in the past year or so and it's an absolute HOME RUN each time. the prime rib is win. the beef pastini soup is win. the chicken parm is win. the pub burger or whatever they call it is amazing! the crowd is mostly old guard, but i can't blame them. the prices are great to boot.

I lived in Mays Landing for over 5 years and I have ordered their take-out on several occasions.  They are a little above average as far as price is concerned, but they have typical steak, seafood, chicken, pasta, soups and salad platters.  I always ordered the prime rib with the mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes.  Their french onion soup or soup of the day is always very good.   I have had better, but they rank in the top for South Jersey especially in this area.  Family owned and operated and the service is always good.  The bartenders are extremely cordial.
