Zeko's Village

Lousy. Service was friendly, but food was just plain bad. I had a meat lasagna. My fiancé had Alfredo chicken w/broccoli. Bland is the nicest thing I could say about the food.

The booth we sat in was kind of gross. Light switches on wall next to us were disgusting. The wall itself looked as if it hadn't been cleaned or wiped down in years, with spattered drinks or food all over. Bathroom was likewise dirty. I won't be wasting any time or money there again.

There are a lot of food places in Mocksville, mostly fast food, but not a lot of good locally owned choices.  Zeko's is one of the better places to eat in town.  It's Italian American food, served in a casual, family friendly setting.  You can get gyros, pizza, pasta and other Italian dishes.  My favorite is the Chicken Rosa Maria.

It is not fine dining Italian food quality but they do a decent job at a very reasonable price.  My only complaint is you can't get alcohol at Zeko's.  It would be nice to have a glass a wine with dinner but they don't swing that way.

I was at a workshop in Mocksville & on the last day I was promised to be taken to "a local hotspot."  Thinking BarBQ, Italian was the LAST thing I expected to have...

I ordered the Steak Stromboli and it was DIVINE!  I'd had plenty of calzones and philly cheesesteaks before and this was the perfect combination of both! This convinced me to try more strombolis & fewer calzones from now on. I was with a party of 6, and salads, calzones, strombolis and sandwiches were devoured. Not a single person left a single bite on their plate.

Prices were perfect for lunch: $5-$8/each.

A local hotspot was right. Heard there was great BarBQ around, but this place is hard to beat!
