Horrible experience. Visited this place on Saturday July 6th after a local recommended them for their cheese and charcuterie plate.
It all started when we tried to walk into the establishment. There was a dog sitting in front on the main (only entrance) I didn't think anything of it, as I approached the door this (large size dog) growled at my friend and I. I quickly backed away because I was afraid the dog  would attack. A lady and her daughter walked up from the street asked if we knew who the dog belong to? I guess they were driving by and saw the dog wandering out front of the restaurant. I said no, we were just trying to get into the restaurant for a bite. All four of us walked around  the building looking for another way in or trying to get someone from inside's attention, no luck. I decided I would call since I had their info pulled up on yelp. The older gentlemen with salt and  pepper grey hair picked up and I explained   That we were trying to get in but the dog was preventing us because he growled at us, his immediate response was "Not this dog". That comment made me uneasy and I should have taken it as a sign and never entered. So next he comes out, and the lady with her dog explain to him they just pulled off the street to check on the dog and make sure he was ok. The man says this dogs owner is inside, as he continues to point out to the lady that they cannot come in because the little girl is underage (they weren't attempting to enter, they were being good Samaritans and checking on the dog). My friend and I walk through the door and he follows behind us, once again asking "you're 21 right? You have to be 21 to be in here"
My friend and I sat ourselves at a table, another younger male came up and handed is 2 menus. This male wasn't very different from the other. The workers seemed un-happy, un-smiley, and unwilling to serve us.
They sure did a GREAT job at making us feel unwelcome. Not sure if this is a local spot only? Or if it was because of our ethnicity? (Hiapanic) or because we look younger(I'm 32, not very young).  When other patrons got up to leave they were greeted with "thank you, have a good day" when my friend and I walked out there was deafening SILENCE!

About the food: the cheese charcuterie plate was very delicious, but the service left a horrible taste in my mouth!
Buzz kill, ruined my mood the reminder of the evening.

Nice concept. After being served a tuscan wine @18 glass which was seved chilled...Chilled? who serves red wine at 15 degrees Celcius. Oh wait that's their name too....In addition, very distracting watching the young girls work the older male customers.

Wine: Poor selection.  In a region known for its wine, the reason most people want to visit a wine bar is to sample LOCAL wine.  They had a small selection of wines and of that, more than half were foreign.

    Service: Friendly

Unique: new, well designed interior and pleasant patio.

    Atmosphere: relaxed

Value: Poor.  Wine overpriced.  Wine taste: $8!  A glass: $15!

After looking at the menu, we walked out without ordering.

First and foremost...love the atmosphere of this shop. Wine choice is great. People seem pretty cool. 5 friends and I came to 15C to celebrate a bday...so we chose two bottles of wine from the 15C cooler to share between us. The bottles were reasonable ($16 and $19 respectively). Lo and behold....my shock and dismay when, at check out, my total purchase cost was almost $50. If you do the math (even after tax) something's not right. 15C, as it turns out, charges a $5 "corkage" fee when you drink THEIR OWN bottles of wine. Yes. You heard me correctly. You are not only purchasing wine from this retailer...you are also giving them (PER BOTTLE) a $5 fee just to enjoy the vino in their wine shop. Seriously? Ridiculous. I hate to say it...but unless this fee is terminated, I'm going to enjoy my vino at Haven in Atascadero.

I love this place. Ali puts her heart and soul into the shop, and it shows. The servers know their stuff and are attentive, but not overly so. You can always count on a good cheese selection. On Fridays, they have oysters from Pier 46. For your birthday, you get a free glass of champagne. It's really a nice stop to start or end your wine tasting day.

One of many little pit stops on our 'tasting' day around Paso Robles, CA.  So, so happy for my good friend and DD, Glenn!

This is a cute little wine/tapas style bar. They have a relaxing patio outside overlooking the quaint  downtown Templeton, but it was a bit too cold on the day we were there, so we headed inside and snagged some seats at the bar. Super friendly servers, nice atmosphere, good music playing. The place sells beer, wine, and picnic-style snacks to go, as well as having a little bistro to enjoy their stuff on the premises.

During Happy Hour, there are some discounts on selected wine, beer, and snacks.  Solid selection, but nothing awe-inspiring. What was very good was the Warm Goat plate: fresh chvre, honey, and truffle salt.  Delicious! Paired nicely with all the wines we had, particularly my Mollydooker, The Boxer.

There were a lot of tasty sounding snacks, but we had more stops on our journey.  Until next time, 15 Degrees!

I liked the old 15C near Trader Joe's...the new location in downtown Templeton with the large bar, out door patio and happy hour specials puts this over the top in terms of a place to go for after work drinks. The wine list changes regularly and the appetizer list always has something fun. It can get a little crowded at times...but that just makes it a place to make new friends.

It's places like 15 Degrees that make me seriously consider getting a place on the central coast, in north county. It's so totally adorable, lively, and delicious. They have a thoughtful retail selection of wine and other giftable items, and their new bar and outdoor space are really approachable and enjoyable.

So.excited to find this cute wine bar after a day of.wine tasting. They had an interesting affordable wine list, and I hear they have a great wine club too... The bar is set up really well and every dish is carefully prepared right in front of you. The cheese plates looked amazing and the sandwiches were delicious. We will be back next time we are in town.

I have to say, I don't get up here enough for my liking.

I live and work "below the grade" but often send customers to 15c for it's wine selection, paraphernalia and general wine knowledge.

Ali is amazing with wines, and where my staff are waitresses first, wine aficionados, second - Ali's team knows what they have and what you will like.

I need to get up there again soon. Bandol Rose is calling my name...

Just love this place.  Attending 15C Wine University and learning so much from Ali. It's awesome that she can impart all this knowledge about wines from all over the world and voila, has them all to sample (and buy).  Great little Templeton gem.

Yum! We go for lunch a lot and everything on the menu is great and tasty. The shop is decorated very hipster cool, they carry Poco Dolce chocolates (which are divine) and they have lots and lots of really good wine. Beer too....a fun place to hang out.

So I happened to be up near SLO on a day trip a few months back and was sent their direction for a late lunch.  Amazing little wine bar with a lounge vibe and some knowledgable peeps pouring me the Red...this place renewed my panini fetish...went on a 3 week binge thereafter...nearly had to seek help.

Left with a few bottles of Broadside for the ride home.  The experience left me wanting to drive back up again.

Ali has created what is the best wine shop in all of SLO County and in my opinion, the entire Central Coast. This truly is a special place. Everything is thoughtfully done - the killer wine selection (which includes the best International wine selection and some of the best hand picked California wines I have ever seen!), the loungey but uplifiting decor and the plates of food put out of thier teeny-home sized open kitchen. The cheese and meat boards are gorgeous and the sandwiches/salads do not get fresher or more locally grown than these. Do not miss this place if you are visiting the area or if you are a local in SLO who haven't yet made the short 15 min trek over the grade. TRUST ME - It's so worth it!

Not only does Ali have a diverse and delicious selection of wines from all over the world, she is also a Sommelier, and loves to share her passion and knowledge of wine with customers.. She also offers classes, workshops, and fun themed nights pairing wine with food.

I stumbled across this place while trying to find Broadside!  I received a recommendation their Cab was awesome and a great price point, so I tried to call to see where they were located so I could visit.  The lady who answered the phone said they didn't have a tasting room, but recommended I visit 15 Degrees C as they usually pour them.

What a great little find!  It's tucked away in a little shopping plaza (next to Trader Joe's).  They had a great happy hour and poured many local fav's!  They opened up a Broadside Cab for me, even though it wasn't on their menu just so I could try it!  I liked it and hoped to take a few home but they only had two bottles left in the store!  The great thing about small towns is everyone knows everybody!  They called the winery to let them know I was interested in more bottles and Broadside offered to ship me 6 more bottles (to San Diego) and waived the shipping fee!  Awesome!!!

They had a great cheese plate, which included amazing olives and almonds from Spain!  Everyone was very friendly and pleasant!  Please visit them if you are ever in the area!

Love this place!  I work in Solvang and live in Arroyo Grande. My friend introduced me to this place a few months ago.  I would never have thought just off the the 101 in Templeton there would be such a wonderful place.  I would stop here everyday if it was on my way home from work!  Ali and Tajin are the BEST!  The wine selection is awesome.  Thursdays are always a great night to stop in and have the spanish tapas and a flight of wine.  My favorite though is the cheese boards and the housemade Chicken Liver Pate.  Holy Cow Batman its the best EVER!  If your going wine tasting in Paso, stop in and get some gourmet cheese and meats to take along. Another favorite of mine is the duck salami.  The only thing that could make this place better is if Ali opens another location in SLO for all of us south county folks......just sayin....   : )

As someone who moved to Paso after having lived in Boston, and being used to finding gourmet foods at arms length at all times, finding 15C was the like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert. A desert filled with delicious cheeses, pates, wines and misc. fun stuff.

The customer service left something to be desired, and I am not convinced the people who work there know anything about most of the product they are selling, but being someone who knew enough on my own about their product, that did not have all that much of an impact on my experience.

Ali and her staff at 15c are amazing at what they do! Their theme nights which vary from Spanish Tapas on Thursdays to Oysters and Bubbles on Fridays are extraordinary and the food is always delicious.  Every bottle of wine that they recommend is superb and fabulous.  15c has a calming effect after a stressful day and it has the ability to instantly make you happy once you step foot in the door (that's what it does for me.)  Looking forward to seeing Ali this summer in Paso, rumor has it that she is teaching mini seminars at the Mid State Fair! And looking forward to upcoming events at 15c like the Abalone BBQ and the Templeton Trio Dinner exclusive dinner with Pier 46 and Nature's Touch.

    BEST WINE SHOP/BAR EVER!!
This place feels like home, owner Ali knows her stuff, believe me!
I would recommend asking her for recommendation and you will be amazingly surprised! I always go there without any wine in mine and just ask her to pick something for me and WOW, she is always on it!
What I like about this place is that it is mainly small production wine that you know about or don't have access. She also support the local wine which is awesome! So often you will see wine makers, winery owners walk in and get some bottle of wine to try out and just to drink on the spot. And you would never know that these people actually are wine people coming in dressed casually. This is truly the best spot, sitting at the bar, enjoying good company, good wine and fresh and tasty food. Their cheese, olives and baguette are delicious. My favorite meal is the vegetarian bocadillos, it's the best! I also love to get the cheese and charcuterie plate and I like the fact that I can just walk in front of the cheese fridge and tell them which ones I want or want to try.
Also they have all kind of goodies for the wine lovers, bought my wine aerator there, it works so good!
I CAN'T wait for them to expand to the L.A. area!! Even though it won't be good for my wallet!! ;)
    Salud!

A week ago a friend of mine took me out to 15 Degrees c and I had a really great time. It was a Thursday, Tapas night from what we were told, and we purchased four glasses of wine, a cheese plate and three bottles of wine. The prices were OK, the service was scrambled and chaotic, but the cheese plate was amazing. They clearly know what they are doing and the server was very knowledgeable, helping me to chose a wine that even a non wine lover like myself would enjoy.

Overall I was pleased and looked forward to going again.

The opportunity presented itself in the form of a close friend coming in from out of town. She wants to wine taste, see a little bit of town and get a snack. I instantly think of 15 Degrees c But my experience this time was much much different.

I ordered the same glass of wine to start with and again, ordered the cheese plate (which I had not stopped thinking of since last week) and was told that they didn't serve other items during themed nights.

Thinking that the server was new or confused, I explained to her that I was there a week ago during tapas night and I was given the cheese plate. She asked the owner who came over herself to let me know that she was much to busy to make me a cheese plate, however if I wanted to order a plate of tapas that would be OK. Or I could wait until she wasn't so busy making tapas then she would make it for me.

I said that was ok, we were there just for the cheese plate. She became very flustered and explained again that she just couldn't be bothered with it but she would make us some tapas....It seems to me that if they had a moment to throw together tiny sandwiches and pea bruschettas, they had time to scape some cheese and olives onto a plate.

It wouldn't have bothered me if it weren't for the terrible attitude that we were approached with. Even after pointing out the sign on their menu board above the register that says: THURSDAYS, CHEESE AND WINE they continued to treat us as if we were idiots for asking and even bigger idiots for not understanding the difference between taking ten minutes to make tapas and ten minutes to make what we ordered.

I was embarrassed that I picked this place to take my friend from out of town when there are other quality wine and cheese shops in the north county. If these people think they can move into town, try and win over locals with this kind of service, I think they will figure out soon that it's not going to work.

We were greeted warmly with eclectic green walls and a beautiful space with an anthology of wine from all over the world. We were lucky that day to taste some Cruvinét, a sample of rare varietals from all over the world. I explained that we hadn't eaten breakfast yet, so she graced us with a Spanish Cava with Crème de Casis and fresh blueberries. Thus a Wino's breakfast.

We sauntered on to a dish called 7 Plate, a variety of meat and cheeses served with slice Hush Harbor Baguette and an array of accoutrements. It was beyond phenomenal. The presentation of each dish was perfection ranging from a sensible wood blank to a ceramic swirl bowl to a gorgeous bread plate. The cheese was as vast and different as the wines that came with them to taste. Goat Gouda Blue was in Mr. Bayus, words "Drop your drawers good." The Rincoita Sheep, Domestic Age Goat, Manchego, Saint George, and Mimolette were beyond first-class. The Prosciutto Americana, Salami, Savory Shortbread, Organic Apples, Picante Olives, Spanish Almonds, and Truffle Honey complemented every cheese and were a delight to mix and match. What made this simple meal so good is that the girls explained every ingredient to us, thus making it special and giving you the knowledge of what to order and how to mix it for the most palette-pleasing event. These women know their wine and fine foods. It was a culinary delight.

My favorite restaurant is the A.O.C. in Hollywood and it takes an act of God or knowing someone to get in there, plus it is all the way in L.A., I am here to say, 15 Degrees C, is just as good with their tapas and wine selection.

With each flight we tried different and rare varietals including an Organic Santa Julia Torrontes, and Allan Scott Pinot Noir from New Zealand, a Donati Cabernet Franc (which was my favorite and I am sipping now as I write) and an Juan Gil Junilla red wine from Spain. It was all new, fabulous, and unexpected. Each person at the bar was treated to the proprietor's knowledge of food, wine and beer, it was impressive.

Gary wanted to try the Salt Plate, which I had never seen offered anywhere. It was three kinds of rare salts served with Plugra butter and sliced baguette. You slathered up the bread with butter and then sprinkled the salt on top. The flavors included Girl of Fig Lavender, Greek Cypress Black Lava, and Truffle. I can say it was remarkable and brought out the flavors in the wine.

Next, we went for Ports and the Chocolate Plate. This was a beautiful swirled plate with Chocolate from Recchiuti (San Francisco- Ferry Building) with insides springing alive in your mouth with Meyer's lemon and passion fruit. There was dark chocolate with raspberry made by Jessica Foster, and English biscuit of honey almond, Recchiuti fudge, and organic Hawaiian honey. I thought Gary was going to detonate. The J. Dusi Port was the finishing touch and we would have stayed all day, but Gary started telling Sea Lion Stories and I hustled him to the car.

15 Degrees C has all kinds of special events,  I am so impressed with the knowledge, palette, and presentation at 15 Degrees C

We discovered 15c when we opened our place nearby, and OMG I am totally impressed not only with their wine knowledge but their food as well- I am an absolute cheese tray addict, and the little yummy herby bread that they serve along with it is like something you covet and turn your back when somebody else is eyeballing the stuff.   I feel like a spoiled rotten child when I have that tray.  I don't let anybody else in.   HA   and they make it to go also...   so "the bomb"!!

I had heard rave reviews about 15c so we drove all the way from Nipomo to check this place out.  I was not disappointed what so ever!   The service was so friendly and fantastic!  The variety of wines was eclectic- from Africa to France to Argentina and Italy and back home.  We sat at the tasting bar and had the Spanish Tapas Platter- followed by the Chocolate Plate (yum!)

They have a wide variety of hip gifts (from gourmet salts to blind wine tasting sets).  I certainly found more than I anticipated!

It was strange to find such a cool little wine bar / wine knick-knack store in the middle of a shopping center after dark in the Central Coast.  Not normally a place where you'd find a wine bar and a well-stocked wine and wine tchotchke store all wrapped up in one.  It's a true oenophile's place, with locals coming to sample the area's best during the day or after work.  I think it's the proximity to a Trader Joe's that really makes it work - why not get your wine geek on after a TJs trip?

We had a nice Australian Shiraz and a local pinot at the bar if memory serves.  I waited a little too long to review, so I can't give details, but I can say I was impressed by both, even after a day of wine tasting.

A wine bar in a strip mall? Say it ain't so Joe! Well, I told Joe that we should check this spot out after our first (and last) night tasting of the day at Summerwood Winery down the street. Give it up to the Yelp iPhone application to tell me where my next wine fix is within 5 miles of a dusty, windy road in the middle of nowhere. Hurrah!

This is a great little spot, I'd work if I could! It's a wine market, bar and place to shoot the sh*t with the locals, talk about wine and nibble on a cheese plate or panini. They sell chocolate, wine accessories, local micro brews, all the must have's for a quirky little dinner party in the Central Coast.

We sat at the bar and I had a glass of an Austrailian shiraz I believe (it was a while ago). It was a hearty pour, a nice big glass and great to sip while we took our break before driving down to Goleta.

They are open til 9 I think. It's not the place where you go to camp out for the night or "sit at the bar", but if you're doing your local shopping, need a break, a glass of wine or a bottle, this is the place to go. The staff attends events up and the down the West Coast and is indeed abreast of what's going on in the wine world today. Their bathroom is pretty cool too, heh.

    SUPER TURBO ONE THOUSAND TIP!!
Go there for happy hour, we had a darn tooting good time!

    A friendly, hip joint.

In my opinion, this is the best joint for finding unique wine in the North County.  I've been to the rest, and the selection at 15' seems to have the most interesting variety.  They have a good variety of Wines, champagnes, beers and cheese ranging from 'affordable' to 'higher end'.

    You Must Read the following:

After years of wine tasting, I have finally come to the conclusion that not all wine is created equal.. just because a wine is 40 bucks does not make it good.    ..gasp!.. there are bottles a quarter the price and much better tasting..  The trick is to ask.  One of the best things about 15' is the staff.  Make sure to bend their ears about your needs.  We have been steered to some very stellar wines in ALL [yes ALL] budgets.  We would have completely passed on some of these gems because we never heard of them.  Always ask first!

Fight your way into the parking lot, do your shopping at Trader Joes, get a nice wine at 15', and get a fresh piece of sea bass at the fish market.  You can't beat an evening like that.

    Cheers,
    Sp
