Met some friends for dinner-they go here fairly regularly. Â We opted to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening. Â The chairs and table were very dirty so beware before you sit. The beans, chips and salsa were excellent. Happy hour margarita a little watered down. Â The food was good and there was plenty of it. Had the chicken burrito and friend had the ribs which smelled delicious. Service was good-prompt refills. Bathrooms a little dicey as they are right near the kitchen/bar area and that's where you wait if there's a line. Karaoke was starting but the only one participating was the man who brought the equipment. Â All in all it was a nice new experience and I might go back occasionally
Review Source:A friend and I were in town for one night and 49er was recommended. We ended up having the Mexican food on  the menu and were really pleased with it.  I had the carnitas which were fantastic as was the fresh guacamole.  My friend really enjoyed the enchilada and taco while the tamale was only ok.  Fresh ingredients, attentive wait staff and quick service
Review Source:49er has provided consistent good times. Â This review is more directed for the Bar scene than the food. Â
Karaoke nights can be a blast. Â The biggest thing is that the crowd can be really hit and miss. Â One Friday it can be slammed with the local country crowd... Â The next, a ghost town! Â I definitely make a point to stop by every once in a while for a good time. Â Drinks are cheap and the bartenders are good. Â It's more an older crowd, 30+, so don't go expecting to find a 21 year old fling. Â =)
For food, I've really only had the few items you can't mess up... Â I.E. Â Grilled cheese, burger, etc. Â I remember getting a stuffed baked potato and not being too impressed. Â The juke box is always available in the bar. Â Don't expect it to be blasting. Â But they'll keep it at a decent volume if you request.
I just went in yesterday, and it looks like there is a new partial owner of the business. Â They are definitely making some changes. Â They now offer chips & salsa to everyone while at the same time adding a mexican food portion to the menu. Â They also added draft beer. Â (Coors Light and Shock Top).
All in all, a good low key place for during the week to have a beer. Â For Friday Karaoke, expect a great time but have an alternative if the place is empty!
This used to be one of my favorite places. Â We went here last night because I was craving their fabulous Gold Strike prime rib dip sandwich . Â The fried green beans were good as usual. Â My husband ordered a loaded baked potato, but received a regular potato along with ice cold veggies. Â His rib-eye was very thin, dry, and tough. My sandwich was terrible! Â No way was that prime rib. Â The only part of the meat that didn't have the taste and texture of jerky was the fat. Â I have no idea what happened to the delicious food we used to get here. Â I am so disappointed.
