Broken Bit Steakhouse

First time there and the food is awesome! Had a great night with the girls. The staff there made it even better. Thanks for the whipped cream for our shots! We will be back as soon as we can!

I'm sure the good reviews on here are valid but the experience I had was WAY LESS THAN STELLAR!
Let me start at the beginning....
1st.... I order a beer. The beer keg is tapped so they bring me the half beer that came from the keg. They offer to replace it and I order a different beer. (More to this part of the story later)
2nd.... I order the $30 New York steak med rare. It shows up med well / well. I send it back for a refire thinking ill get a new steak within 7-10min. No biggie right?? WRONG!
3rd.... The manager comes over wanting to make things right and apologizes for the incorrectly cooked steak and offers to take it off the bill. A very nice gesture and it was appreciated very much... (At that moment).
4th... Over the next 20-30min several different waiters / waitresses "check" on us and each time leave saying they are going to check on where my steak is.
5th... After 30min of waiting (NOT KIDDING) and watching my friends stuff their face smiling from from being full of "delicious" food, I get up and find the manager in charge and inform her I STILL have not received my food and I'm "done" waiting and want to leave. She acted "astounded" that I still hadn't received my food and immediately scurried off to find out what went wrong.
6th.... Our waitress comes back to the table OVERLY APOLOGETIC saying that they are now making my steak "to go"! Really?! A Med Rare $30 steak "to go"?! C'mon....
FINALLY..... We get the bill, and sure enough my steak is not on the bill. Great. BUT... I was still charged for the 1st beer that was .75 MORE than the beer they replaced it with?! Not a big deal... But when you as all this up just the icing on a horrible experience cake!

Overall I'm sure it's a nice place.... Maybe. But the experience I had....   I WON'T BE BACK!

The A.V finally got a good Steakhouse! Ordered the 20oz Steak and it was delicious, excellent flavor, tender and juicy, even the baked potato had excellent flavor. For desert we had chocolate chip bread pudding and it was also exceptional. Both the manager and owner came by our table to ask how we liked the food during our visit! Looking forward to my next steak at Broken Bit.
