  Pretty groovy little spot to warm up and grab a drink or two.  I didn't eat, not because I wasn't hungry, but because I was tring to drink my calories and not eat them.  I however did notice plates of nachos coming out that probably weighed more than a small human! Holy crap those plates looked amazing!    The damn thing looks like they dumped an entire bag of chips on the plate.  I will have to try it sometime... As long as I am not by myself!   Along with the Nachos, I was checking out other dishes and they all looked good.  Mountain prices, YES but good portions come along with them from what I saw.

  I've eaten at way, way more than my fair share of ski resort cafeterias.  It's pretty much common knowledge that they suck so while skiing at Hood Meadows we opted for the sit down option of the Alpenstube.  I should have just eaten the Clif Bar in my pocket because I'm pretty sure a Cuban sandwich is:
  
  a) supposed to be pressed
  b) not full of nasty dried out pork and ham
  c) (and most importantly) not supposed to smell like fish
  
  Took forever to get served, caesar side salad had whole pieces of lettuce and the bread on aforementioned ass sandwich was dried out.  
  
  And the kicker?  $43 (including tip) for cat vomit sandwich, "Cascade" fries and two drinks.  Skiing is for rich white people.  I am only one of those adjectives.
  
  Extra star for personable busser.
