  My favorite hangout in panama city. Rowdy live shows, cheap beer, and smart fellow bar goers make this place awesome.

  Music, booze, art, video games, activism and more booze-- They don't serve cocktails, but it seems to me like they've got a pretty good mix. (No more puns, I swear).
  
  Formerly "The Gallery Above", the new owners have really made this place shine. Panama City is notoriously short on "hangouts". They've got clubs, dive bars, clubs and more clubs. The A&M strikes some much needed balance to the scene in PC. The venue itself is up a lone staircase accessed through a discrete glass door. The building itself, while old, has been restored and fitted with new lights, great sound, a handmade stage, and a small bar.
  
  The booze - Yeah, they've got beer, what kind do you want? I was astounded at the sheer amount of craft brews that they carry. From Arrogant Bastard to Theobroma, they've got it. They also carry some wine and wine-based liquors for the fantsy-pants folks (seriously, drink the beer).
  
  The jams - They definitely don't discriminate when it comes to live entertainment. Each night there's an eclectic mix of awesome, from Surf Rock to Blues, and I'm happy to say that the prices are reasonable too. It was here that I witnessed the single greatest live show ever, for $4.
  
  The other stuff - The A&M hosts indie film nights, theme parties, and a LAN party called FROCON. If you're in to that, then check it out, personally, I'll stick with the beers and tunes. Also, for you artsy-fartsy types, they host a monthly themed art show on the first Friday.
  
  All-in-all, the A&M is a rising star in a very stale scene-- go out and support em!
