Amy's is a pretty standard country buffet  located just west of Fort White on Highway 27 on the way to Branford. The interior is cozy with a cowboy/Western theme to an extent but nothing fancy at all; there's an area on the far end of the place for a live band to set up and on some weekends they do have a country/rock band playing. They offer a seafood buffet on Fridays for dinner and a BBQ buffet on Saturdays for dinner, plus breakfast and lunch every day. However, these dinner buffets are only on the weekend and I'm not certain if they even have dinner during the week. For Sunday they're only open for lunch until three in the afternoon.

The BBQ buffet was both good and not so good: the BBQ ribs, pulled pork and mashed taters were all very good however, the collard greens were downright sour despite looking good and fresh. They were out of fried chicken the whole time I was there and the salad bar was ok but not too impressive. The cornbread was kinda dry, too. They only had a spice cake and banana pudding for dessert on the buffet . . . I say "only" because Sister's in Branford has on its Friday night seafood buffet several desserts--at least four every Friday--plus many, many, more meats (like, several kinds of fish, shrimp, fried chicken) so I felt Amy's was lagging a bit behind its competition. And let's face it: when you're in Fort White places like Sister's and Nell's in Branford are competition, as are things in High Springs and Bell.

They're trying to do a good job and it's not bad at all--the ribs were great in fact--but it's not the experience Sister's is, either. I'm glad Amy's is here though because Fort White could use something nicer than a Subway for sure.
