Definately not a place to go when you are in a hurry. Â I agree with Jim a previous poster that the service is not fast. Â However, I still make this a regular stop for lunch when heading to SC. Â The burgers are good and the custard and shakes are even better. Â I order less food, drink water and then take a custard shake to go. Â Big calorie splurge but so good! Â Rita's should learn how to make custard from this company.
Review Source:I used to love going to Andy's (now Hwy 55) for lunch. I had to stop going. No one is going to argue that Andy's is a baby step above your typical fast food joint. Thats not a problem for me. The problem is the slow service. I have an hour for lunch and rarely make it out of there without being late. The service is extremely inconsistent. I went there last week and the place was nearly empty. It took nearly 45 minutes to get my food. This isn't a one off. It has happened many times prior. The fluctuating sanitation score also concerns me.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a horrible place to eat. If you're on a schedule, stay clear of this place. Also, don't replace the fries with a side salad. Often times the greens are a little brown. Other than the salad, poor service times, and fluctuating sanitation, the food is excellent.
Nice retro-look burger joint. Â Shakes were excellent (have not seen this many types/selections in years) and the burger was really good and made to order right in front of you behind the counter. Â Staff was very polite and the manager rushed out to hold the door open for my wife when they saw us approach the restaurant. Â This place would be a hit in Northern Virgina and give Five Guys a run for their money.
