Pizza was good and enjoyed eating outside here.

Great pizzas. Server gave me a little flack for adding pineapple to my Italian pizza that had artichokes on it, but they did what i asked, and that's pretty awesome. Crust was nice and crispy too. Will go back.

Should have had the pizza. Service was bad. Chicken parm was bland.

A pizza heaven it is!! This place is a hidden gem. It's located away from the tourist area in a tiny plaza. The restaurant is lovely. We chose to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. The patio was nicely decorated with Christmas lights and gave a homey feeling as if you were sitting in your own backyard.  We got the small garden pizza and the small traditional pizza. The pizzas were very thin which I usually don't like, but this was a whole different story. Both of the pizzas were absolutely delicious!!! You could taste everyone of the toppings! It was garlicky but not overpowering, the sauce was fresh, the tomatoes tasted like what tomatoes are supposed to taste like, and the basil was to die for fresh! Yum!
It was definitely one of the best pizzerias I have been to!

The 5 star review was solely based on the pizzas. The service could be better though and that's where I would have given them less stars but I was too busy enjoying all the deliciousness the pizzas had to offer to notice anything else.

Clueless waiter, rude waitress, wrong orders, no compensation for screw-ups, slow service and the drinks were mediocre at best. The only redeeming feature was the pizza itself which was fine.
    I'll never go back.

What can I possibly say about this experience? It was perhaps the worst dining experience that I have ever had, that still served acceptable food. In fact, the pizza was pretty damn good, and I am picky. That being said the service was horrible. Not because the people were rude or awful (at least not till the end) but because of the clueless nature and unprofessional-ism of the staff. Our server was new, so new he didn't know the menu or the drinks that the restaurant offers. This seems like a good time for him to be shadowed with an experienced server to help out (it was Saturday night if that makes a difference). Instead a woman came over and told us he was new, and driving her nuts (nice team work). The rest of the staff spent the night trying to get us to say something bad about the server, most likely to help get rid of him, but we weren't biting. He was nice, and trying hard, but didn't have a clue what he was doing (again, I blame training).  When he took my order I was pretty sure he got it wrong, and he did.  When the food came two people came to check if it was right, I guess they thought he got it wrong too (perhaps check before you make it and make us wait even longer for food?). We were pretty hungry since  they forgot the appetizer we ordered too. Four people spent $120 on pizza and drinks (it would have been more if they brought everything we ordered). Nothing was comped on the bill and at this point we were laughing so hard at the restaurant and the staff, that we tried to just leave. Apparently though you can't leave through the patio that we were sitting in, and got yelled at by a waitress when we opened the gate lined with lights.  "My boss would be pissed if he saw that!" the young woman yelled at us in front of other customers. Overall it was the single worst experience I have ever had in Sedona. There are plenty of other places to spend your money.

Once again back to this establishment with friends to enjoy antipasto, beer and pizza... Mine being with a gluten-free crust. Enjoyed outdoor seating this evening.

We went to Apizza Heaven on the advice of a friend.  The reviews on Yelp seemed pretty good, so we figured the food should be good.

We visited the restaurant on a weekend night at 7:30pm.  The parking lot was basically empty when we arrived.  When we entered the restaurant, there were two other groups besides us.

We ordered a pizza and the seafood pasta dish.  The pizza crust seemed to be made from the same recipe as the appetizer bread.  The bread/crust was pretty light and not too chewy.  I liked it, but my wife liked it less.  There were a fair amount of pizza toppings, which tasted pretty good.  The big drawback to the pizza was the sauce.  The sauce tasted like straight tomato sauce, with no herbs or seasonings.  It didn't taste like pizza sauce, and to me that affected the entire taste of the pizza.

The seafood pasta dish included quite a bit of mussels, clams, and salmon.  The amount of pasta was less than I expected.  The broth was on the light side.  Overall, an okay dish, but probably not worth the $32.

The service was very nice.  The server was very friendly and attentive.

This was recommended by hotel and it was great, no tourists, the white pizza was awesome as was the pepperoni and red pepper pizza. The eggplant appetizer, not the stuffed one was awesome. We would go back in heartbeat. If the restaurant put up a new sign, they would probably get more business. Can't wait to try more on menu

We had a couple of meals at Apizza heaven during our long weekend in Sedona.  We were lucky both times and had no wait to get a table and the service was great.   The ambience is ok, one night it was pretty empty and very quiet so everyone could hear anything you said and the next time it was busy and pretty loud.  It is a pretty small place. The basic pizza is pretty good and the crust is fairly crispy.  Calzone was good.. watch out the traditional pizza doesn't have mozzarella.  Overall good place to grab a decent and fairly priced pizza meal.

This restaurant is hard to find once you turn off the road. Once we got inside it was a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. We had the cheese garlic bread, the caprese salad and a Almost Everything Pizza.  We ordered way too much and took home a whole second meal. I would not recommend the garlic bread. The bread seemed store bought and the marinara that went with it was not very flavorful.  The salad and pizza were fine. Nothing amazing but not bad either. Basically just a "ehh" kind of a meal. I wouldn't go back next time I'm in Sedona.

We always visit Apizza Heaven during Thanksgiving Week when my brother and sister in law visit.  They love this place and we always have a very enjoyable dining experience there,  This past TG week visit came on the Friday after.  The food and service are always dependable and delicious.  As the night wore on, Dave the chef owner came out to greet us and eventually pulled a chair to chat for a while.  He's a delightful, hard working restauranteur orginally from Connecticutt and has been in Sedona now for quite some time.  Eating here is more like visitng Dave at his house than eating at a restaurant.  He will prepare just about anything you want if you take the time to ask although pretty much anything Italian you could desire, and then some, is already on the menu  The prices here are typically higher than you'll find at most Italian eateries but keep in mind this is Sedona where all commercial leases are sky high.  Ever notice how few franchises are in town?  They can't do business because it doesn't pencil out to the company pro forma.

On vacation in Sedona. Missing that favorite italian restaurant back home. Be prepared to have your world rocked. We ordered 5 Pizza's to go with homemade sausage and dough, Salads, homemade bread and some other goody's. We hung out with the friendly staff at the bar waiting for our order to be prepared and enjoying a local craft beer. Everyone loved the food and it was just a great the next day as leftovers. Did I mention homemade garlic butter for their homemade bread?

I went to this place on the recommendation of a coworker that is local to the area.  I always try to eat at non-chain places when I travel for work.  I ordered a glass of wine and the lasagna.  At the end of the meal I ordered a very rich chocolate cake-type of thing.  Overall the food was good.

My server was very attentive and friendly.  The pricing was a bit on the steeper side, but I didn't care because this meal was on the company dime.  Speaking of which, they don't accept AmEx, so i'll end up expensing this.

White pizza was ok. Base extremely hard even though it was super thin.
Fried spinach was yummy. Waitress was very loud. Offered us dessert and coffee before we were even done with our pizza! Felt a tad rushed.

I feel like all the food in Sedona is so-so.

A cute little place -- very sophisticated and warm. A little pricey, but so is almost every restaurant in Sedona. Expect to pay at least $15 for a small pizza (unless you go bare minimum for cheese only). The pizza was very good, but not amazing. The margaritas were strong and big. A small could definitely serve two people. The crust is thin and crunchy in the places where it's especially thin.

Pretty good pizza but at $20 for medium pie with a couple toppings, it had better be.  Pasta dishes are somewhat bland and overpriced as well, Sedona or not!  It was too cool for the patio, so we weren't  swayed by the ambience.  They make their own bread daily and it's quite good.  Too bad they don't offer modestly priced house wines...be prepared for $9/glass for an unmemorable red. Service was average. Go for the pizza but order soda...or take it home

Just fabulous! Best white spinach pizza I have ever eaten! You have to try this place.  Don't forget to add some Italian sausage to the spinach pizza. You will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely dinner on the patio under the Sedona sky. We ordered Italian sausage and peppers, baked penne, and chicken Marsala. All were wonderful and the portions were plentiful. The fried spinach with feta was amazing. Service was friendly and attentive. And the pizzas looked delicious. We would return.

Absolutely horrendous service and poor attitudes!

Waited 10 minutes for a menu...great response from server "oh you want food?!"

Finally we just left after another 15 minutes of just sitting.  No water, no drink order, NOTHING.

    Unacceptable for a pizza place.

We went early on a Saturday night, and were promptly seated outside (our choice) - it was a nice night out.

Service was spot on - didn't have to wait too long for a glass of wine, and food came pretty quickly thereafter - but not too quickly - we definitely had time to sit and relax a bit with our drinks.

I got the fettucine with clams.  The noodles weren't cooked as well as I'd hope, but they weren't bad either.  Just nitpicking.  The amount of clams and the quality of clams were both pretty top notch.  Great value, and I'd definitely recommend it.

My girlfriend got a white pizza, and it was pretty awesome.  I had a slice later that night (took 2/3 of it back with us) and it held up pretty well.

The only real downside to this place is the location, away from the pretty views that Sedona is known for.

Enjoyed the misted patio, the staff, the inexpensive Prosecco by the glass and their famous white and spinach pizza. My toddlers loved the cheese pizza and the coloring books. Pizza was thin sliced, NY style, with fresh ingredients. The buffalo mozzarella salad was a nice starter.

Pizza and salads are great - try the crispy spinach and the chocolate cake if you want to be totally blown away.

Pasta and other Italian dishes were good, but nothing spectacular.

Service was very friendly, very prompt, very courteous - this alone made us fans. Lovely, clean little place with good tap beers, nice wine list, gorgeous little patio for outdoor dining.

Go early (before 6:30) or call for reservations at dinnertime.

Parking lot is gravel so don't wear spike heels ;)

I can't speak for the pasta but we enjoyed the pizza. The cannolis are okay. It's a pizza place in Sedona...I don't know what more to write about the topic.

The Good: Great pizza, reasonable prices, plenty of outdoor seating.

The Bad: very understaffed-only two waitresses that we could see for an almost packed restaurant.  Once seated, we waited 15 minutes before our drink order was taken and another 20 before we got two cokes.  The pizza came thirty minutes after that, our poor server was visibly flustered and rushed, tending to at least ten other tables.

If you want good pizza, aren't on a hurry, and have very low service expectations, this is your place.

Delicious! The pizza crust was perfect.... it was so tasty I didn't want to stop eating.
I was in Sedona vacationing with family, and a friend suggested this place, a "local" place. So happy they did! It was a friday night and they had live music, and they sat our table of 6 immediately. Our waitress couldn't be nicer. We ordered The Garden.... ah, Heaven.

Pretty good overall - I'm a previous asst mgr at a pizza joint and I'd give this place an "eh ... it's a pizza place".  Nothing over the top awesome, but no serious negatives.  They seem to do well for themselves and are happy with it.  It was pretty chill.  You're going to get what you expect from a pizza place.

2 adults and 2 kids - 2 small pizzas, 2 sodas, 4 beers, 1 salad and 1 desert was $73.  Not bad in my book.
The small pizzas are really 12 inch pies but look more like 13 - 14.
Very thin crust pizza, but very good. and can easily feed 2 people.  We had left overs.
    Sauce was average.
Toppings were great - fresh veggies and huge chunks of sausage, no skimping on the meat, which was nice.

There was only 1 other family in the place, so I can't comment on the service which others seem to think was slow.

The 1 big negative in my book was the cannoli shell was not filled all the way to the middle, it was a blank void.  Not cool.  The shell was tasty and the filling was average, but I would have done 3 things - added more chocolate chips, filled it to the middle and drizzled it with chocolate syrup.  I'm a big cannoli fan and I'd give it a 2 out of 5 stars.  Good for Sedona, but it wouldn't hold up in the big city at all.

Bar prices were average and met all expectations.  They had 3 beers on tap, all micro brew, and a small sample of domestic beers in a bottle.  Wine was decently priced and they had some good bottles on their list.

Decor is average and they seating in a small bar section, small dinner section and pretty large outdoor patio.  The outdoor seating had a bar out there as well, but from all the pics I've seen and from the look of it, it hadn't been used in a while to serve drinks.  Maybe they spruce it up when large groups are eating.

This place needs a 4.5 (definitely a fan, but the pizza is not necessarily the "best I've ever had") but since half stars aren't an option, we're going with 5 b/c it was far more awesome than not!

Talk about a hidden gem!  Great value, delicious food, nice servers, and totally cute atmosphere with a nice little outdoor patio to enjoy on those warm Sedona nights.  It's the kind of place you could drive right by and never even know, thinking maybe it was a car mechanic you just passed, but then once inside allowing their delicious food to excite your taste buds, you're darn glad it was your tummy getting a tune up and not your Toyota!  And while cute, it's super casual so you can go straight from your Pink Jeep tour or whatever wearing your Sedona red dirt stained jeans and tennies without thinking twice. :]

Appetizers: Whatever that CRISPY SPINACH, flash fried, heaven melting on my tongue goodness was, you NEED to try it!!!  My hubs doesn't even like Spinach and wanted to go back here just for this.  And their BRUSCHETTA was not your average mini toast cracker with some diced tomatoes on top.  It was decent pieces of fresh bread topped with a generous heap of juicy diced tomatoes, fresh basil, and lots of melty mozzarella cheese.  It kind of had that homemade as in I-just-made-this-in-my-apartment-kitchen feel -- not super fancy looking, but definitely hearty and good.

Pizza: We had the ALMOST EVERYTHING PIZZA and it was fantastic!  Generous toppings, thin, soft, tasty crust, and honestly a great value for the amount of food it was (a large was more than enough to feed four very hungry, skipped lunch today adults).  Our server swears they have the best pizza in the area -- she's probably right.

Dessert: I had a CANNOLI which was not the best ever, but was definitely good!  Chocolate chips on the end, tasty crust (a little thicker than I'm used to, but with that expected, buttery flavor), and light creamy filling.  It's only $3 and definitely large enough for 2 to share if you have room, so I say it was worth it.

Overall, we would absolutely return here for one of our favorite and yet most affordable meals of the week in Sedona -- less than $50 AFTER tax and tip for 4 adults with all the food listed above and a generous tip for our fantastic server.  Can't beat that in this town!

Came here after a recommendation from the nice folks at Sedona Olive Oil Company.  We were starving and not sure where to go in town.  We figured pizza would be easy since that is always an option for us vegetarians.

The plan was to get a pizza to go and head back to the hotel since we were pretty beat up from the day.  We get inside and find out that it is a 35 minute wait for food.  *Cue silent sobbing from my belly*  At this point we are just too tired and hungry to think about driving around aimlessly trying to find another veg-friendly place that isn't crazy expensive.  So we grabbed a seat at the bar.

Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us.  I ordered a glass of wine and decided that we would just eat at the restaurant and be done with it.  Since I was so hungry I started to peruse the appetizers but nothing was really jumping out at me.  I didn't really feel like spending $8 on an appetizer so I just went with the bread.  I really think it's pretty outrageous for an Italian joint to charge for bread and butter (just like a Mexican place should never charge for chips and salsa) but I was hungry and that was the cheapest thing I could get.  The bread was $2 and was supposed to come with "whipped garlic butter."  It just tasted like regular butter to me.  But maybe I was just that tired.

We ordered the Garden Pizza in a medium to share.  The medium was more than enough for the two of us and we both thought it was really good.  Lots of onion and tomato and a good bit of basil.  It said there was garlic on it but I didn't really notice a lot (maybe I have a high garlic tolerance??).  I think what could have made this pizza a little better would have been some roasted garlic cloves.

The restaurant is small and gets really crowded when full.  The bar area is tiny.  It appears as though there is lots of room for outdoor seating when the weather is right, but the patio was closed when we were there.

In all, I think this is a nice little place for dinner.  It has a homey atmosphere and the food was good.  I just think everything was overpriced.  $2 for bread and $22 for a medium pizza is crazy to me.  Would think twice about coming back the next time I was in town.

Made reservations for a Friday night, hoping that it would be delicious with all the great reviews.  Well, I was wrong.  Donna, our waitress, claimed that they have the best pizza in town.  Really?  It was nothing special.  My spinach salad was fine.  Nothing fancy so there was not much to mess up on.  The mussels tasted frozen and not fresh.  The white wine sauce was a salty for my taste.

What really got us was that this place TOOK FOREVER.  The hostess was very nice and sat us down as soon as the table opened.  But GEEZ, it took at least 50 minutes before we got our pizza and salad.  The place wasn't even packed!  We were literally one of the last tables after being seated at 7:45pm.  We dare not order any dessert cuz the last thing we needed was to wait around for them to churn the ice cream!

Bottom line: Skip it.  The food wasn't anything spectacular and this place was just SO slow!

Oh joyous day, can this really be?
I have done my time in purgatory.
Tucked away in a place where nobody would look,
Is a piece of heaven in it's own special nook.
An angel appears, so kind and so sweet
Says I look hungry, but what shall I eat?
I go with my gut,  "I'll have pepperoni, please."
Hot from the oven, I sprinkle on parmesan cheese.
My taste buds scream out, volume turned up to eleven.
When I die, two things, Red Rocks and Apizza Heaven.

Review on service and appetizers alone. But by the looks of it, if you're looking for good pizza this may be your place! It's off the beaten path. You'll have to look for a sign and then turn down an alley but from the smell of the nearby tables and the taste of our incredibly flavorful appetizers, I highly suggest you give this place a shot.

We actually had the nerve to walk in New Years Eve at about 9:30p.m. or so but they found a way to accommodate us regardless, which scored serious points. We sat at a table next to the bar and noticed a high concentrate of locals, which is normal for Sedona, but nonetheless, our sweet little bartender was on the ball with both food and drink.

I'm looking forward to our next visit to Sedona so we can come back and enjoy one of their incredible looking pies! P.S. Heard their white sauce pizza is spectacular!

This place was good, but not as good as we expected.

We arrived to a short wait time, with a frantic hostess. We are pretty easygoing people who don't mind and expect a wait on a Saturday night. But she was stressed to the point of not having a sense of humor when my husband attempted small talk...

We were a bit surprised by the steep prices. Our drinks were pricey and everything on the menu was pricey. We purposely picked pizza because we thought it would be economical. But our veggie pizza was well over $20. The pasta dishes were the same price as the more upscale Italian eateries in the area that use freshly made pasta.

We liked the pizza but there were things about it we didn't love. We didn't love the bland barely there tomato sauce. We didn't love the completely raw broccoli. We didn't love the fact that it was covered with onions, when we said to omit the onions. But the crust was decent. The rest of the toppings were fresh and delicious, especially the breaded eggplant. The eggplant was very tasty.

Our server (who was also the bartender) was very friendly. She also made a perfect dirty martini. But it wasn't enough to bring us back. The pizza wasn't worth the hefty price tag.

This is one of those hidden gems that I almost hesitate to recommend out of fear that everyone will go there and I won't get a table myself!

There were seven of us. We sat out on the patio and although it was cold the ambience was delicious. We had 3 different pizzas between us along with garlic bread and fried spinach and everything was so good that it is tempting to bypass local pizzerias and find an excuse to make the drive to Sedona when I really want a pie.

    One word? WOW!

Apizza?  Like in New Haven style Apizza??  Yes indeed! OK, so I am from a small city in CT called New Haven.  We have the best pizza around and are actually featured on many foods shows because of our outstanding pies. And it is a style all our own...thin crust, crispy, greasy.  Similar to a New York slice...but tastier.  I moved to California 4 years ago and ever since havent had a good pie.  I was excited that on my roadtrip to Sedona I would get to taste some New Haven style pizza!

This place did not disappoint.  I mean, it was not exact, but close enough. They say it is something in the water that makes the New Haven pie...similar to bagels in NYC.  But this was the closest I had seen since leaving CT.  The owners of this restaurant also own a few places in New Haven that I had heard of.  I ordered a broccoli pizza and was pretty excited that it did indeed have a similar taste to the pies that I had been craving for so many years.

Good job Apizza Heaven!  You should def open a shop in San Francisco!!

I lived in Sedona for three years and this was my favorite pizza place in town! I moved away two years ago and still miss it. It's tucked away and visitors often miss it because of that. There is also a really nice little deck area if the weather is nice. If you live in Sedona or are visiting GO HERE!!!

A word on pricing - Land is very expensive in Sedona so businesses pay high rent. You won't go anywhere in town and get a "deal". Sorry. Houses, restaurants, rent, and hotels are a little on the pricey side (APH being on the cheaper side of the restaurants in town). But Sedona is breathtaking and worth it!!
