Great place to go out dancing. Great music, great bartenders and djs-fun crowd. VIP room available for parties.  Staff is friendly, great local place to go out with your friends and dance or hang out and have some drinks.

Have seafood and wine after festival parties every year, get your tickets early if you want to go and not stand in line. Don't leave or it's hard to get back in. Think festival crowd- a really wild time.

Has a Latino night every Sunday with a band every other week.

My friends and I were in Newport this weekend for the seafood and wine fest. We were told on Friday and Saturday nights this was the place to go for good drinks and dancing.  We did not purchase tickets ahead of time, instead we showed up around 9pm on Saturday and just got in line. The line seemed to move relatively fast until we got to the front of the line, then we waited about an hour and also had to fight off a large group of belligerent people who tried to take cuts and play it off like they had been there the whole time. I don't mean to sound like I am in grade school by complaining about "taking cuts"...but it's frustrating to wait patiently in line only to be cut in front of.  Then there was another line full of people who had paid in advanced.  I get that those people were let in before us, but they were taking advantage of this situation.  They were leaving to go out to somke and then were able to go right up to the door to be let back in.  This would not have been such a big deal if the establishment wasn't already at maximum capacity.  If you leave, and you want back in, you should have to wait in line with everyone else regardless of whether or not your ticket is pre-paid.  The fire Marshall showed up...so on and so forth. We were patient and finally got let in, but at that point we were not much in the mood for fun. The crowd was difficult to weed through, drinks were over priced (make sure you get your drink on before coming here...2 shots of Fireball was $14), the dance floor was way too crowded, it was filthy (but I think it would be hard to keep up with all the people). Maybe this bar is not always this crazy, it was a big event weekend, but I think that it should have been handled differently...you can bet that I probably won't return here again, and if I do I will be sure to get there at like 5pm and not leave at all!

I love Apollo's! The best bartender, great locals, awesome dance music. Great drink specials!
