Applebees Bar & Grill

I don't eat at very many Applebee's, so when my friend and I knew we were passing though Kearney on our drive to Chicago, we made a point to stop at this location. In a town that has every conceivable chain restaurant, gas station, and big box retail store, Applebee's is a stand-out for its broad menu.

The chicken parmesan was just so-so. And the strawberry lemonade was like drinking pure sugar water, with no signs of real strawberries anywhere. But they did have free refills, in a variety of flavors. And very friendly staff!
