This is an amazing place. I have been here many times. I have tried most of their appetizers and by far the best are their onion rings take my advise and get a order of them you won't regret it. I have had their burger that is best in Nebraska, which I agree with it. I have also had a chipoltle chimichanga from here and it was amazing. They also have a great selection of deserts.I am 19 so I don't know about the drinks but my familu says the got a decent selection of drinks. Disregard any negative reviews about this place I am a huge foodie and eat out a lot this is and amazing place with a diverse menu. Only down side is it is a great restaurant so it is busy on Friday and weekend nights prepaid for a 20-45 minute wait if it looks busy. Don't leave wait it out this restaurant is worth the wait. You will be waited on shortly after being seated and the service is amazing. They people that work here are nice and if you are having a hard time deciding what to get ask your waitress they are extremely helpful.
Review Source:My wife, son, and I went here for dinner on our way home to Chicago from Colorado. Â We stopped in based on previous Yelp reviews and the recommendation of the front desk staff at The Holiday Inn Express. Â
I'll preface this by saying I travel, extensively, and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world. Â We also eat out, a lot, and so this serves as my basis for comparison.
I ordered the garden salad to start which was iceberg lettuce, 1/4 of a tomato, and two slices of cucumber. Â But at least it was fresh.
For dinner I ordered the chicken enchiladas with their green chile sauce and they were fine, not great, not awful, fine. Â They were topped with tortilla chips which was interesting but also annoying. Â The kitchen didn't overdo the cheese on them, for which I was thankful.
My wife had the chef salad, which, again, was just iceberg lettuce, ham, bacon, turkey, eggs, the usual. Â It too, was just fine.
My son, a picky teenage eater, ordered the fried catfish which they served on, you guessed it, iceberg lettuce. Â Claiming that the lettuce flavor had infused the fried fish, he refused to eat more than a couple of bites. Â I tasted it and it was quite peppery.
Beer list was absolutely nothing to write home about. Â The most exotic beer was a Sam Adams seasonal.
Wine selection was nonexistent.
All in all, it was what I expected: Â Decent food at a decent price in the middle of nowhere. Â Next time we drive through Kearney, we'll eat somewhere else.
This is a real "sleeper"!! Â Hard to find but worth looking for. Â We have eaten lunch and dinner here and had a variety of different foods.....never been disappointed. Â Sometimes it's crowded but well worth the wait. Â The bar pours a good drink and the staff is very friendly. Â The atmosphere is just right. Â GO HERE if you are in Kearney, NE.
