The food was good and the menu filled with choices for everyone, but some of the service could be more consistent.
My family has come here a few times and we keep giving the service a chance... the food stays consistently good or better (even with a chain styled place), but the service is hit-or-miss sometimes.
Our waitress (name withheld) was quick on the initial contact and the orders, but after the meal she was almost non-existent.
It was a Thursday afternoon, after 4pm and there were about 15 people in the whole place and wait staff for each section; so it was after the lunch rush and before a dinner hustle.
We could not determine why things were going slow, but all of our drinks were empty and we actually needed our requested item that was forgotten (ranch dresssing/dip for my daughters food).
At one point she came by our table to wait on a booth next to ours and she simply missed/ignored our "Ma'am...excuse me (with adjoining hand wave)" attention attempt. She went to the table next to us to get them a napkin and knife... then she walked by again towards the kitchen.
I accepted the point that maybe she was hustling to resolve something for that table and let her go by once more after not hearing me say "Ma'am" again...[note I was honestly not being condescending or rude in any way]
I maintained my composure and let her go... some time later she came back out (our drinks still empty & missing ranch dip) to walk by... so, I simply raised my voice and stuck my arm out directly in the aisle so she would hopefully see it or run into it.  It worked and she stopped...
At this point I gave her all 5 of our drink refill requests... requested the ranch dip AND the check since I was not sure when I would see her again and we were essentially parched and done with our meal.
We got our drinks and dip for my daughter... I still tipped her, but not as much as she could have earned on a table of 5...
This Applebee's has good food and unique items to fit everyone's appetite, but consistently coming here and having service that does not desire to be better.... that will question my wallet if I should "try them one more time?"... the choices may be limited in the area for eating out sometimes, but my money and time can still have many choices on where to go...
I went on a Thursday night. We enjoyed karaoke and live sports on TV. No draft beer that night (usually they have it). Half price appetizers after 9 (limited menu). Waiter was good. Drinks are cheap and the perfect margarita is endless. The food is ok. Smoking is allowed. Kid friendly if you don't mind the smoke. Compared to other Applebee's it is average.
